Chapter 6

Third POV:

From the many tales and ballads sung by bards, Y/N had a pre-made image of the traveler in her head regardless of them never meeting in reality. She imagined him to be much taller and muscular, around beidou's height. However, the person standing before her was nothing of the sort. His frame being similar to kazuhas, more lean and defined, and his clothing a crop top with pants. 

"My name is Y/N, a pleasure meeting you," You smile, making sure it was a warm one, for if the traveler was indeed as powerful as the stories say, it is best to gain their trust and report to the Shogun,

"The pleasure is all ours!" The little fairy beside them asked, "I'm Paimon!"

The little fairies voice was high pitched, as if she were to scream. It was a pain to hear, making You ears bleed. 

"How do you float like that?" You engage with her, "How high can you fly?"

"Paimons not so sure, shes been doing this for as long as I've known her," The traveler intervened, 

"Really? I should ask you more on that later," You tell Paimon as you turn to the traveler, "We should go now before the sun sets, Beidou warns me about being left behind,"

"Lets go to inazuma!" The fairy cheers, following both you and the traveller to the alcor,

"Where yo from?" The boy asks, his footsteps hitting the wood of  the dock next to you,

"Inazuma," You say, meeting his gaze,

You still finds it rather astonishing that the boy next to her was the renowed traveller of the land. His stature was rather thin, more lean than muscular. And his outfit did not seem one of a soldiers, revealing the skin of his vitals (which in a battle would put in at a terrible disadvantage). 

"Inazuma?!" The little one screams, her shock speaking for both her and the traveller,

"Mhm," You confirms, 

"How did you manage to leave?" The boy questions, "Isn't that place blocked off from the rest of Teyvat?"

That was a question you had not been prepared to answer.

"Well," You smile to mask you hesitance, "beidou helped smuggle me out, she said I could stay with them until I felt the need to leave,"

"So thats why your a new recruit?" The boy pressed on,

"Yep, I owe her big time," You reply,

"Is it really true that the Electro Archon takes visions?" Paimon asks,

"Yes," You projects a sigh, "She has stolen so many that I have lost count at this point, I'm not sure what to do,"

Paimon bringing up the electro archon, resurfaced the reason why you were even outside of inazuma in the first place. Reminding her that she should act soon, very soon.

"I haven't had mine taken from me yet fortunately," You gesture to the vision at your hip, "But I do have a friend who witnessed one being taken themself, feel free to ask him once we get there,"

"How about the food? Is it good?" Paimon's eyes sparkle with eagerness, floating closer to you face, 

"Heavenly," You comment, reminiscing of you home food,"I'll cook you some on the boat if you can't wait,"

"Traveller lets go quickly!" The fairy rushes ahead, with the two close on her tail,

Both you and the traveller laugh, running across the docks chasing Paimon. Calling for her to slow down, or to stop altogether.
