It was the middle of class and once again I was not paying attention. Instead I was day-dreaming about my crush.

"AMELIA!" Someone yelled. I looked up to notice that the room was empty and the only ones left was my best friends. "Finally stopped thinking about your crush." Mia teased. "Whatever." I replied as I stood up and got my things.

"So I take it your parents aren't letting you come to mine to celebrate Pride Month?" George asked.

"Nope. They know when I lie and they will definitely say no if you guys ask." I replied sadly as I put my stuff inside my locker and got things out.

"They are stupid for being homophobic. I mean, our Pansexual she/they bestie needs a better living space. It's too toxic in your house." Harry said. "Yep. But what can you do?" I asked nobody as I meant it more of a statement that anything else.

All four of us were walking to our last class of the day when I felt as though as if my world stopped or at least slowed down.

There, standing on her own due to her antisocialness was Sprite, my crush of two years. She transferred here two years ago and just never decided to socialize with anyone. As soon as my eyes landed on her when she was new, I felt this feeling I had never felt. My friends say I fell for her.

They were right. I just can't seem to bring myself to tell her because of how many people tried.

Yeah the odd person tried to befriend the mysterious girl but she politely declined. I ain't a stalker, I just notice these things.

I do see random things at the corner of my eyes all the time though. So it could just be that. But what do I know?

She walked away but not before looking at me which caused me to go wide eyed and look away quickly.

"Let's just hope that Ms. Warren doesn't give me ANOTHER detention." Mia whined. "Mia. She only gave you a detention because you helped Peter make spiderwebs for his suit." Harry told her.

At this time, a group of girls who were "popular" walked past.

"Ugh. Can't believe they are still alive. I mean, who's gonna produce children for their families and keep the human cycle going?" One of them complained, knowing we could fully well hear them.

Ever since their "leader" Liz who was a massive supporter of the LGBTQ+ left, they have been very homophobic, transphobic and biphobic. And I was no longer gonna fucking let them.

"Hopefully not you lot. Your parents really did make such assholes didn't they? Oh. I shouldn't need an answer to that since I'm staring at those assholes." I told them. "What the fuck did you just call us?!" One of the girls asked, anger evidenced in her voice and eyes.

I showed the same thing. "I just stated the truth. And I don't see many people protesting. And your supposed to be popular huh? I thought popular slags had supporters? Doesn't look like it at the moment Karry Moores." I said the girls full name.

"Oh yeah. At least my parents aren't ashamed of me. At least I can walk outside and nobody will be disgusted at me." She argued back.

"At least my parents don't give a shit about me. That way I can do what the fuck I want and not have to tell dear old mommy and daddy where I'll be going every 20 minutes." I replied back at her.
