I continued to finish my glass of champagne, before a guy who I figured out was Sidney, came over to me. I could tell it was him by his voice. He bowed, held out a hand, and asked, "May I have this dance, miss?" I put my hand on his and smiled, as I said, "It would be my pleasure" He grinned and kissed the top of my hand, before standing up straight and walking me to the dance floor. We walked to the dance floor and got in position. You don't start out with the person who asks you, so I was dancing with Kris Letang. His hair flowed while we danced so I couldn't help but chuckle. Finally we passed partners, and I was with Sidney.

His hand was rested strongly on my shoulder, and his hand was only a tiny bit clammy on mine. When his face was close to mine it looked like he was trying hard to keep himself from doing something. I just kept my eyes locked on his as I got lost. Both In the dance, and his eyes. Once the song finished, a normal waltz came on. We continued to dance, and we even started to talk. We talked about ourselves, to better understand each other. It wasn't stuff anybody would know, either. It was all personal. Such as, fetishes, turn ons, favorite things, things that make us angry, and about our families, and past. Obviously a hard topic for me, I was a little reserved, talking about it.

We also shared a few drinks and jokes, and danced some more. Later on, he pulled me out of the rink area, and into the stands. We were extremely close and he reached toward my face, he started to untie my mask, slowly, as he said, "Who are you?" He started to pull my mask away, but as he did, there was a big ringing sound. It was midnight. My eyes widened and I didn't care if my mask came off, as I ran through the stands, and into the closest exit. I heard him chase after me, as I ran to the stitching room. I lost him on the way. I quickly changed out of my dress, shoes, and jewelry, and into the clothes that I was wearing before.

Once I finished, I quickly found my way out of the building. I walked downtown to the penthouse, and once I got there, I started doing the rest of the tasks. Afterwards, I ate, and then fell asleep, with the night replaying in my head. I felt myself fall asleep with a smile on my face.

~Sidney's POV~

I watched closely as Olli went to ask a girl to dance, leaving her friend alone in the corner. I stood up and went to ask her to dance. She was beautiful from what I could see. Beautiful hazel eyes, gorgeous blond locks, and a sweet angelic voice. Where had this girl been all my life? We danced, and danced, until we began to get tired. Then we talked about ourselves, threw around some jokes, and had some more to drink. Her cheeks were rosy by the end of the night. I had to hold back so many times, from kissing her.

She was perfect. An adorable laugh, full lips, soft skin, and a straight white smile. I was quickly, falling for this girl. Later on, I pulled her to the side, noticing that her mask was the one in Makayla's stitching room. So she was Makayla's friend. She looked a lot like the girl with the package, from yesterday. I also recall that she was looking for Makayla. I wanted to be sure, so I reached to untie her mask. She didn't try to stop me, just stood still. When I began to pull the mask away, the clock sound resonated through the arena, letting everyone know that it was midnight.

I turned towards the girl again, but she had run off, leaving her mask on the ground. I picked it up and started to chase her. Talk about dejavu. I lost her once she went into the hallway. I was kind of pissed off with myself for letting two beautiful girls get away in the past two days. I slammed my fists against the wall and walked into the locker room to get changed. Afterwards, I drove home, hoping to talk to Makayla in the morning. And that's exactly what I did. I drove to the rink for practice a half hour early, and walked up to Makayla's office. I knocked and walked in, mask in hand.

I held up the mask and said assertivley, "I want to meet your friend. I have some unfinished business to take care of" She smirked and said, "I can't give you any information. You'll have to find your Cinderella yourself" I thought about it and started pulling pieces together. Blonde, hazel eyes, angelic voice, soft hands, good dancer, friends with Makayla, she called her Cinderella, my Cinderella.

I finished up with practice and walked through the front to see if I could see the package girl. And I basically did, though it was only the back of her head. Blonde hair. Makayla looked at me with a smug look. But I was confused because her friend told me she wasn't going. But now that I think about it, she had hazel eyes and an amazing voice. I turned towards Makayla and said questioningly, "So thats her?" She smiled smugly and said, "I said nothing" I sighed as she walked away. But realised another thing. She keeps smiling, and she said, 'I said nothing' and she was also very secretive when she fixed my suit.

Apparently my Cinderella doesn't want to be discovered.

~Ella's POV~

Makayla told me that Sidney asked about me. Why? I wasn't anything special. Apparently he was beginning to figure me out. I didn't want to be found though. I wanted it to be a one time thing. I finished my deliveries before going home. My list of tasks had been going back to their normal capacity, and nobody suspected a thing. Then when I got home, the girls were screaming and giggling. I asked what was going on and they sneered, before saying, "The penguins app sent out a message from Sidney Crosby. It says, To the fair maiden I danced with at the ball, I intend to find you and make you mine own. I will search all the ladies who went to the ball, by placing my Cinderella's mask upon their face. If I can identify you, I will ask you to dance, before asking a series of questions. Then and only then, will I find my Cinderella. Please ladies, if you went to the ball, come to next Saturday's game and stay after to be tested. -Sidney Crosby"

My jaw dropped and I felt stick to my stomach. Why did he care so much about finding me? I have to take measures into my own hands. I called my work and asked to switch delivery routes with another employee. They allowed me too, but I'd be working an hour later than usual. I didn't care, so I agreed. Then I went to bed. I'd do anything to avoid being found out. Rebecca walked into my room and said, "A little rebellious, aren't you" I quickly whipped towards her in surprise and said, "What?" She held out my ring and said, "Don't try to lie, I know you went, CinderElla" My eyes widened and I quickly said, "You don't have to worry about me revealing myself, I have no intent on being Mrs. Crosby"

She raised her eyebrows in an unimpressed look and said, "I don't care. It's the fact that you defied me in the first place. You are grounded for the rest of the week, until after Sunday. You can't work. You must stay here unless you are sent shopping" I gasped and said, "But I need to work! If I don't-" My sentence stopped as she slapped me across my cheek with the back of her hand. She said, "No buts!" Before knocking me down and kicking my stomach. Something cracked and I tried to regain my breath, as she left.

I called Makayla and said, "On Sunday, I'm moving out" She heard me sniff away my tears so she asked, "Aw, honey, what's wrong?" I cracked and weeped as I said, "I-I can't stay here anymore" It was silent as she replied, "Okay, I'll bail you out tomorrow. We need you out immediately by the sound of it" I nodded to myself and said, "Thank you" She chuckled and said, "I'd do anything for you" I smiled sadly and said, "I love you" in short breaths. She replied, "I love you more" I said, "I love you most" before hanging up.

I began packing my stuff and my parents' stuff into just two boxes. Because that was all it took. Then I slept on the hard ground, waiting for morning.
