Paperjam's POV

Yay first person pov! ^^

Cold winds of the snowy forest brushed against me as I opened a portal. Not that I could feel cold since I'm just made of bones and ink.

I stared inside, mentally getting ready to search for Cross and Killer alone. I guess it just couldn't be helped. Loneliness always seemed to follow me around, like an illness. Even at my birth... I was alone.

I sigh, stepping into the portal, releasing my magic that was holding it open. It closes behind me just as I heard Crescent calling to me. I turn around to where the portal use to be. He had said something about Error. Should I go back?

"He probably just told me to hurry and find him..." I thought as I turned around, walking deeper into the forest.

An hour earlier, Crescent had told me where Cross and Killer were headed. So I'm heading in that direction, hoping they're still there.

Although, the more I think about what Crescent said, the more it doesn't make sense.

"Error is..." I replayed most of what I heard Crescent say. "Error is what?!" I asked myself, slowly getting agitated by this situation. "And why did Crescent sound like it was urgent?"  He never sounds so worried, he's usually extremely calm. Even in dire situations.

I look around at the area I was standing in. Trees covered white as far as the eye could see. "Damnt, I'm lost..." I mumbled to myself. I should've been paying attention to where I was going. I do notice a cottage in the distance and quickly teleport to it. I knocked, hoping someone lived out here.

I sighed in relief as the lights in the cottage came on.

The door creaks open a little. A bear monster stared down at me through the small crack of the door and the doorframe. I gave the nicest smile I could muster. The monster seemed to have a slight look of disgust on their face. The tension between us caused me to shift slightly. Even so, the bear monster opened the door wider, subconsciously making me take a step back. "What do you want?" They asked harshly in a deep, booming voice, clearly not wanting me around. Their towering body loomed out of the darkness of their home. I cleared my throat.

"I just need to get to town," I stated as nicely as possible. "Could you give me directions?"

The monster lessened their glare, but it was still clear that they didn't like me. They pointed in a direction. "Just go that way..." I nodded as they retreated into their house. "Now get out of here." I flinched as they slammed the door in my face.

I sighed with a shaky breath and rubbed my gooey head in frustration. I began walking in the direction the rude monster had pointed.

"No wonder they isolated themself out here. They're an ass." I took a calm breath. "It was just another rude asshole..." I said to myself.

Now that I think about it, I probably should have mentioned to Error that not a lot of people liked me.

When I was younger I used to cause mischief around small Aus like this one. Not on purpose most of the time.

I told Error I had eaten his chocolates to fill me up. He had a pretty big storage of chocolates, so part of that was true. But I'd get tired that my only food source was candy and I hadn't been out of the anti-void in weeks. I'd usually be satisfied with just sitting and watching Aus, but something tugged at my soul to leave. I'd sneak around, grabbing things I thought looked cool, grabbing food, toys. Stuff like that. I would get caught a lot. People chasing me away, locking me in dungeons till I gave their stuff back. I didn't of course. I would just teleport or portal out, laughing as I did. Soon my face started to spread around the multiverse. People gave me glares as I passed by, started kicking me out of restaurants, mobs chasing me out. It hurt, but I knew deep down I deserved it.
