it's been about a month. a month of gojou satoru going to the same café, meeting a certain lady in the morning around the same time everyday.

some would think they're merely acquitances, but both of them knew better. they were more than acquitances, they could be called as friends but fate won't let them have the time of day to meet outside of the small warmth of the café.

it was only on that one morning, gojou walked into the café, the bell ringing on top of the glass door. he looked around for a certain young lady that he gotten to know, he could even recognized her from the back from how she would always had her back on him when sitting at certain tables or booths.

his eyes wandered around the whole café but could see nothing that could belonged to her, not even a siliuette of hers can be seen.

raising an eyebrow, gojou looked around the café once more, he thought maybe, he missed her but no, she was nowhere around.

gojou went over to the counter and instead of ordering he asked the barista, "have you seen the woman that's been coming here often?" the barista shook her head no. she only knew who he was talking about.

"no, i'm sorry," the barista only said.

gojou turned back to the tables and booths inside the café to see if maybe suddenly he would see her, but no, she wasn't there, she wasn't in the café.

a few days passed by, gojou had been going to café every morning as usual but a certain lady he was waiting for wasnt there, she hasn't been there in those few days he's been waiting for her, waiting to see her.

he was about to give up waiting for her, maybe she left, maybe she found another café that's better or maybe she didn't want to see him again. those thoughts had been swirling in his head and he came to the decision to wait for her one last time.

so he did.

gojou walked into the café, the bell ringing on top of the glass entrance door per usual. it only took a minute or even a second for him to noticed she was there, sitting at a table she would usual sit at.

he let put a breath he didn't knew he was holding. he went over to the counter, with a grin fighting it's way on to his lips, he ordered his drink. after paying he went over to the table she was sitting at, her watching him as he made his way towards her.

he sat down in the seat opposite of her. he had a lot of questions to asked, but which on to start with?

where have you been?

did i do something wrong?

do you hate me?

but he didn't asked any of them and instead, he greeted her like he usual would whenever meeting her in the small café.

"aren't you curious?"

gojou looked up from his drink to look at the woman in front of him. setting down his cup, he asked, "curious of what?"

there was a second of silence.

"about where i had been," y/n only said.

leaning back in his seat, gojou nodded. "i am," he paused. "but i won't force you to answer me if you don't want to."

it took y/n a minute but then she answered, "thank you," she said.

he smiled at her. he knew his boundaries, he knew where he stands, what their relationship was.

"of course."
