Miss L/n,

If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to give me a call - [phone number]

Keep this card between you and me – your colleague must stay out of this, she's annoying.

The current price of your alcohol is way too low for the quality and service you provide – put the prices up for your own sake. Keep up the good work and you'll get far in life.

Mr. Gold

He gave you his number...

"Oh my god" you whispered to yourself as you stared at his beautiful signature and traced your fingers over the golden ink.

The Mr. Gold gave you, his number. This card was probably worth a fortune, his bloody number was on it!

You felt butterflies in your stomach and got excited by the thought of being able to call the wealthiest man on the island whenever you wanted to. You hid the card in your phone cover – thank God it wasn't transparent! That way you would always be able to call him, wherever whenever, and it would stay between you and him, just like he preferred.

You didn't dare disobey him – not when he had guns and grenades, and especially not when he was the Mr. Gold.

- Back to the present -

"Miss L/n? Are you alright?" Mr. Gold looked a bit confused.

"Oh yes uhm sorry sir. I just zoned out, sorry" you replied, correcting your shirt, and looked to the ground, feeling your cheeks turn red. You bit your lip and glanced up at him. He didn't reply right away. He looked to the ground and back up to you.

"So, what will you do with the reconstruction?" he asked and tilted his head a bit to the side. You looked up at him.

"I have a plan and a schedule so I know when it should be ready by" you told him.

"I meant money wise" he chuckled. "I am well aware of your planning skills, L/n"

"Oh... initially I should've loaned money from the bank to cover the reconstruction, but last night somebody transferred the amount of the reconstruction and a bit more to make sure I had enough money if there will be problems with it. It's still pretty crazy that somebody would do that for me, I honestly have no idea who it could be" you looked at him, and he just smirked playfully and raised an eyebrow.

"Do you have the card I gave you the first time we met?" he asked. You took the card out of your phone cover and handed it to him. He read it out loud.

"If you ever need anything, don't hesitate to give me a call – I was and am actually still keeping that promise. And before you ask, yes, I mean anything" Mr. Gold locked eyes with you and smiled, and in that moment, you realized something.

It was him all along. He was the one who transferred the money, he was the one who made sure you had enough to cover all your expenses.

"No, you did not..." you said, covering your mouth with your hands, very shocked that he would do something like that.

"Yes I did" he chuckled slightly and handed you the card before resting his hands on his hips.

"Mr. Gold you shouldn't have done that, that's way too much!" you said shocked, waving your arms around.

"Miss L/n, it's nothing. Really, it's no big deal" he placed a gloved hand on your shoulder, trying to calm you a bit down. He kept on chuckling.

"It's a huge amount of money! I'll transfer them back to you when I get home, you really shouldn't waste your money on me" you said in a serious voice and looked him in the eyes.
