Ross looked at his reflection in the mirror , not quite satisfied. Corbin was supposed to pick him up in half an hour but he wasn't ready - none of the clothes he tried on were good enough in his eyes, his hair was messy and overall he looked stressed and nervous. It was laughable. He felt ridiculous to act like that over a simple date but no matter how much he tried to convince himself that there was nothing to worry about, he was still a mess. It's been a while since he last dated and he couldn't help but worry. What if they wouldn't have anything to talk about? What if any conversation they would have would be awkward? What if Corbin would decide Ross is boring and that would be not only their first date but also the last? Those kind of questions occupied his mind.
Ross sighed and quickly brushed his hair and combed it , he decided to wear a simple button up shirt and trousers. He believed that the last thing Corbin would care about was his attire . Or at least so he hoped.
"Dad! Mr Tha-- Corbin is here!" Justin yelled from downstairs. Ross took last deep breath and looked at the mirror once again before leaving his room and rushing downstairs. The excitement that he felt was almost unbearable, he didn't even care if he looked ridiculously happy. Corbin was waiting and that was all that mattered.
The minute Ross saw Corbin's face, his aura brightened significantly and he felt an urge to engulf him in a suffocating hug but he held back, afraid of scaring the man.
"Hey " Corbin smiled at him as soon as he reached him.Ross' heartbeats were fast and thumping loudly in his chest as he smiled back and pecked him.
"Hey, you look nice " Ross complimented him as his eyes raked over Corbin's muscular body. His attire was simple yet complementing. He wore a light green v- shirt that showed his muscles, along with jeans that fitted him. His hair was as usual slicked back with a few strands falling - Ross loved it that way although he didn't mind the messy sèx hair Corbin had during their time in bed.
Honestly Ross just wanted to slowly undress Corbin and reveal his muscles and tattoos so he could shower kisses on them. Maybe later that night. For a change this evening wasn't about sèx or lust, of course desire plays a major part but that date was meant to let them both learn about each other. Love can start in bed and end in bed but what's important is the in betweens. And this night was all about the in betweens.
"You're not so bad yourself ," Corbin whispered in his ear while hugging him "maybe even better ".
"Oh please," Ross scoffed "I didn't know what to choose so I settled on this . Might as well wear rags if that's acceptable. " he exclaimed with exaggeration.
"I'm sure you'll look good even in rags " Corbin retorted nonetheless and Ross blushed.
"Let's go " Ross mumbled. "Justin , be sure to eat the macaroni I made and don't go to sleep too late. Also if you need something call me, okay?"
Justin only snorted before disappearing up the stairs.
Ross followed Corbin to his car.
"Hey you !" Someone at the back seat startled Ross as he flopped on the passenger seat. He turned to see the guy he saw when he was at Corbin's, his brother.
"I'm dropping Avery at a party, ignore him". Corbin said as he started the car. "That's harsh bro! You're not going to introduce me to your boyfriend? "
Corbin didn't pay his brother attention but Ross felt obliged to answer, especially because their last encounter was awful.
"I'm Ross " He turned to smile at Avery and shake his hand. "Oh I know who you are, you're the hot stuff my brother can't keep his mouth shut about. Shame you ran last time before we got to talk."
"Avery!" Corbin growled.
"No it's true and I'm truly sorry for my behavior , I was just a bit... agitated " Ross offered a smile.
"Nah that's alright , I'm happy to meet you now and I gotta say you look delicious. " Avery winked and Ross chuckled. Corbin didn't look amused as he glared at Avery through the mirror.
"What? I'm not lying! " Avery shrugged with a smirk and Ross just knew he loved pissing off Corbin.
"Just shut it or else I'll drop you here in the middle of the road. " Corbin threatened but Avery seemed unfazed .
Ross liked the straightforward and bold approach of Avery. The kid was cute in a way and even amusing with his daring attitude and honest comments. Ross could tell he wasn't an easy one, he was probably a rebellious teen that liked giving others hard time. Ross decided he liked him. He wondered why Corbin and Avery lived together, maybe there's an issue with their parents or something like that? It didn't feel right to ask so he chose not to.
"So, Ross, I heard you have a son. Is he available? " Avery shamelessly asked.
" God help me Avery, I'm going to commit a murder. .." Corbin muttered.
"I don't think he is Avery. He's got a girl he really likes. " Ross answered sincerely.
"So he's straight? Boo! " the kid scrunched his face.
"Can you please shut your mouth?!" Corbin growled.
"Don't wanna" Avery smirked.
It went like that for another few minutes until Avery was dropped and then Ross and Corbin were all alone.
"You've got a cute brother. " Ross chuckled.
"Oh please, that kid is a headache " Corbin rolled his eyes.
"Maybe but it's nice to have a brother, I was an only child and I always wanted a sister or a brother. "
"What about Justin? you think he feels the same way?" Corbin asked.
"I don't know, he doesn't look lonely but who knows. " Ross wondered a lot if he should expand his family with addition of an adopted child so Justin would have a sibling. But he wasn't ready, his hands were already full with Justin. Besides, his son was a bit too old now to feel lonely and need of a brother.
"So how the lessons with Justin are going?"
"Pretty good, he's got the brains but he doesn't like to put efforts so he needs to be pushed forward or else he'll fall behind. "
Ross couldn't help but feel a pang in his heart. He felt as if he should've been the one to pressure Justin in his studies. Sure , he wanted to see his son succeeding but as a parent he also wanted to know that he has done all he could do in helping him succeed. But he also felt proud, both in his son and Corbin - it felt good to know that Justin was doing better thanks to the man he loved and appreciated. Ross also noticed that lately he wasn't summoned to school and he wondered if Corbin has something to do with that. Maybe he tamed Justin a bit or at least bribed him with something.
"Thank you for everything ". Ross was truly grateful. Corbin was right for him in so many ways and he hoped he'd find others in which they were compatible.
"You can thank me later , " Corbin said suggestively with a wiggle of his eyebrows and Ross chuckled.
"Remind me and I will " he said huskily.
"Don't make me turn the car !" Corbin groaned playfully but faint lust showed in his eyes.
Honestly Ross wanted to tell him to turn the car but he held himself. Tonight wasn't about sèx, he kept repeating in his head, not for at least the next hours, he added when his walls crumbled with the desire he felt. He really wanted to have Corbin, to be the one to take him and pleasure him. Bottoming was nice and felt amazing but as a man he also had needs that would only be sated if he'd top. He didn't mind being bottom as long he could top from time to time. Somehow Ross felt it'd be hard to convince Corbin to change their roles. Corbin seemed to more than prefer being the dominant one in bed and Ross had doubts he'd allow someone else take the lead but trying never hurt anyone.
"So where are you taking me?"
Ross asked curiously and glanced at Corbin that only smiled, refusing to answer.
"Really? " Ross shook his head amused but didn't press further, a bit of thrill settling in him. No matter where Corbin was taking him to, he knew that this evening would be great and that's just because they'd be spending it together.
