Narrator's POV
"Now no one can summon you when you aren't ready yet to face the world once again. You'll be safe from anyone who dares use you as vengeance. You're free now" a distance voice echoed in his mind as he slowly feels his soul being sucked in
"I know you'll be back when you're ready." He could feel the emotions of the voice as if they were close. But why can't I remember who you are
"Wei Ying. I know you'll come back" were the last words he heard before he is entirely sucked from the white space he has been in for the past hour or so, he couldn't know as time was non-essential for a roaming ghost like him.

"I heard the Masked Lady was up here in Dafan Mountain" Lan Jingyi started, with an almost condescending tone. "What if they got caught in one of your nets huh? You should be thankful that Hanguang-Jun saved you" It was against the GusuLan's to talk behind another one's back so Lan Jingyi got out and said what he said. They're not powerless people is what he thought.
"Like I'll get caught in one of those but thanks for the concern" a voice rang out from above them as the young ones stared above them, looking for the source. They couldn't see a thing, not until someone dropped just right in the middle of the two sects. who they could tell was in the same generation as the two older cultivators plopped down with grace, a hand on her sword hilt. Her face was covered with a mask (1st Picture), only showing off her eyes that when you stare, you'll feel like you'll melt.
The three boys were starstruck since the Masked Lady was said to never appear to anyone. Cultivators will always just get a glimpse of her, either jumping from branches to branches or a silhouette of her behind trees.
"So what were you boys fighting about?" She spoke in a motherly manner. The three were quivering with a mixture of joy and excitement upon seeing the famed one who ruled the Night Hunts. The woman looked at the three boys back-and-forth before releasing a chuckle.
