"They're almost here."
Nine months is almost here and the baby bump has grown significantly grown. The children are quite active too, often kicking their mother at the most inconvenient times.
"They're active again," Y/n giggled. "I know, I know. You can't wait to leave and meet Mama and Papa."
She lovingly stroked her tummy before looking up to Zhongli. He sat down beside her, gently resting a hand over her tummy.
"Yes, we're excited to meet you two as well."
Times were rough throughout her pregnancy. Mood swings, cravings, morning sickness, and doctor's visits along with being careful.
Since their children will be the first, as far as Zhongli was aware of, children of an Archon; Zhongli was far more wary and protective with the intention of ensuring his wife and children will be safe and healthy.
Zhongli leaned down to softly kiss her stomach.
"You'll be here soon, children."
That night, Y/n had gone into labor. Her water had broken and chaos started. A doctor had arrived in the teapot to tend to his wife and her crying started. After a few hours, the cries of an infant cut through the tense air causing Zhongli's shoulders to sag in relief.
One child was freed.
The cries of Y/n rang out again. He can only imagine the immense pain she was going through. After another few hours, another cry rang out.
"Mr. Zhongli, your daughter and son are born."
A daughter and a son.
"Just as you had hoped, Y/n. A daughter and a son."
