Mr. Present Mic's classes were probably the most awakening I have seen in my entire life. This man yelled fucking grammar rules. I couldn't even try and sleep! I already knew what every teachers taught the class so school became boring pretty quickly. Back in France, I would usually argue with the teachers about things and they would correct me in the end, but now I already knew they were right, because I already knew what they were saying. How boring is that?! Honestly, the only class where I actually had fun was modern litterature.
So instead of listening I doodled in a sketch book I bought, I thought about what song I could learn next at guitar, how I could improve my drumming skills, what song I should dance to next, with what type of moves I should learn, my cat, that I named Koneko, literally meaning kitten in Japanese, and other things. To make it simple, my head was boiling, and it was honestly starting to exhaust me.
I always had something to do during school time usually. Would it be actually listening to classes, put efforts in homeworks, help people with catching up, anything!
But now it was plain.
So I asked Mr. Aizawa if there was a helping system for classes in the school. He answered that no, there wasn't. He explained how U.A thought that if students were smart enough to get into the school, they would be smart enough to excell in school. I honestly thought it was stupid. It's not because they passed the entrance written exam that they were genius. Adding to that, U.A's educational program was harder than the normal one, since it was a elite school. It was like the enrich program enriched. Even I sometimes had little bits of additional informations.
And that, is how I ended up hanging up posters promoting tutoring lessons, both for helpers and needers. I asked the principal and he accepted, adding it would've been a good idea.
Then why didn't you do it sooner???
I sighed, hanging the last one. I had to stay after school to do this, even if I was exhausted from the hero class. I looked down, thinking about it.
I didn't do that well to be honest, I was disappointed in myself. I got in team B, with Shoji and Todoroki. Todoroki had done most of the job. Shoji had used his quirk to locate them and Todoroki used his ice to freeze the whole building. I just had to handcuff Hagakure, Shoji taking care of Ojiro.
I understood that I didn't had a physical quirk like the rest of the class, but I expected to at least demarque myself for it. Instead, they all thought I was quirkless. Not that it was a bad thing, but some people looked at me weird because of it.
I shook my head, trying to think about something else. I heard heels coming my way, so I turned my head to see Miss Midnight walking toward me, her long fur coat on.
"Hi, miss Midnight." "Hi (Y/n). Are you done soon? I'm going to close the school soon." "Oh yeah, I'm done, let me just go get my things in the classroom."
I jogged to the classroom, grabbing my bag and my vest. Before closing the door, I checked if I had forgotten anything and closed the lights. I jogged back to the entry, where miss Midnight was waiting for me.
"I got everything." She turned to me and arched a brow. "You don't have an umbrella?" "An umbrella? why would I need-" I stopped dead in my track.
I was pouring.
A big smile appeared on my face. I looked at miss Midnight and smiled even wider. "Nope, definetly no umbrella! Honestly even if I had one I wouldn't use it, I love rain."
She looked at me like I was crazy "Are you sure?"
I started walking "Yep! Have a good night Miss!"
Midnight shrugged and speed walked toward her car.
Meanwhile, I happily walked under the rain, enjoying every single drop of water hitting me. Rain was always my favorite thing. When I was younger, my mom would have to drag me out the backyard, not wanting me to play in the mud. I could stand there and listen to the rain for hours without a break.
I took the longest road to go to my apartment, watching the scenery and even stopped to grab dinner (just some tonkatsu).
Sadly, I eventually arrived home, completely drenched. I places the bag with the tonkatsu on the dinner table and went to my room to change. Going back to the dining room, I spotted a slip of paper that wasn't here this morning on the table. Curious, I picked it up and readed it quickly. I froze.
Sleep well, I'm sorry I won't be able to watch over you tonight. With lots of kisses and love,
H.
I felt anxiety grow in my stomach. Someone has been watching me sleep? what else did they watch? Did they saw me naked?
I didn't felt safe. I really didn't felt safe. Running to my room, I grabbed my cellphone, scrolling trought my contacts. Who could I call? I refused to sleep here tonight. Then again I didn't knew much people in Japan. Tears started building up in my eyes, threatening to spill. I was honestly panicking.
Then, like an angel giving me a sign, I received a call from Kirishima. I answered, my voice a bit weak.
"Hello?"
"Hey (Y/- are you alright?" These words made me lose it. Tears spilled and sobs shook me.
"N-no I'm fucking not! I just got home and t-there was a note on the table saying that someone "not gonna be able to watch me tonight" but I-I live alone with my cat and they said they were watching me sleep and I really don't feel s-safe and-"
Kirishima cut me off, trying to sound reassuring "Hey hey! It's okay, alright? Here's what you're gonna do. You're gonna give me your address and I'll be here as soon as possible. Meanwhile you're gonna pack your things for a couple of days and you'll stay with me, I'm sure my parents will accept. Tomorrow we'll go to the police station after school and they'll find who it is. Alright? Can you do that for me?"
Still sobbing, I answered yes and gave him my address, then hung up. I got my traveling backpack out and packed multiple change of clothes and uniforms, my hygiene supplies, food, bowl, a couple of toys as well as a portable litter for Koneko, my phone, a charger, my keys and wallet. I went to the dining room and threw away my dinner, not even hungry anymore. I took out the trashs so it don't stink when I come back and got myself a bit more presentable by wiping my tears and putting a hoodie on, since it was probably a bit cold outside.
After doing all of that, the little intercom in my entry buzzed, so I answered. It was Aiko.
"Hey (Y/n), there's a guy named Kirishima Eijirou here for you, do I let him up?" I cleared my throat and spoke up "No, tell him I'll meet him downstairs." "Alright."
I opened my broom closet and got a little traveling bag for Koneko, gently picking her up and putting her in it. She automatically snuggled in it and fell back asleep, purring. I closed the lights, exited my apartment and locked the door behind me. I got to the elevator, put my hood up to hide the redness around my eyes and saluted Aiko.
Now in the loby, I spotted Kirishima waiting for me near the entry door. He had a worried expression plastered on his face. I walked toward him and he spotted me too. He turned around and opened his arms for a hug. I put Koneko down and enlaced him, nuzzling my face in his neck. I sighed.
"Sorry for the bother. Are you sure your parents are okay with me staying?"
He petted my hair "It's no problem, they understand and are happy to help." He stepped back "Do you have everything?"
I picked up Koneko "Yeah, let's go."
