I skipped may because nothing happened in may that's super important that I know of.

April and May went by rather quickly, fading into June. The boys were packing their bags for their tour of Australia the following day, Ringo had been feeling off the whole day. "Ringo you ok?" Paul placed a hand on his shoulder.

"I don't know..I.." Ringo fainted and everyone jumped, George immediately going to his side.
-------------------------------------------------------------

They took him to the hospital, he'd gotten tonsillitis and wouldn't be able to attend the tour.
Brian urged for George Martin to get a replacement before tomorrow. "I know just the guy. Jimmy Nicol, he recently did a session with Tommy quickly and he wasn't bad, I'll do get him."
George (Martin) ran out.

Brian let out a sigh of relief and looked at John and Paul. "Is this alright with you?"

"Yeah, I mean we don't want the tour to be cancelled. I think it'll be fine." Paul nodded along with Johns Statement.

"No. I'm not going. If Ringo's not goin', then neither am I. You can find two replacements." George said sternly and held tight to Ringo's hand, who was just waking up.

"What's happenin'.." He looked at the dumbfounded Brian.

"..George, I understand you don't want to leave your boyfriend but, would you rather cancel and let thousands of fans?"

Ringo furrowed his eyebrows, still extremely confused. "..yes I don't want to leave him!"

"You'll be letting us all down, George. Please think about this." Brain pleaded.

"Fine..I'll go but I won't like it.." George turned to Ringo and took his other hand. "We aren't canceling the tour, they're gettin' a temporary fill in drummer for you.."

Ringo looked at Brian then John and Paul. "..you guys still like me..right?" George squeezed his hands. Things like this always went to Ringo's head.

"Well of course Ritchie!" Paul walked over beside him. Brian and John saying something of the same. "why wouldn't we?"

"I dunno' these agreements happened rather fast.."

John ruffled his hair. "That's just cause it's such a big deal yer sick! Don't think like that, we'll always like ya." Martin had gotten Jimmy on the phone and handed it to Eppy.

"Yes, yes the Beatles. Really? Great! Yes come as soon as possible for the audition-rehearsal please, oh and pack your bags." Everyone turned their attention to Brian. "Yes, how does £2,500 sound?"

"God, Brian! You'll make the chap crazy!" John furrowed his eyebrows.

Brian ignored him. "Alright, see you soon."
He explained to the band that Jimmy would be there soon and they needed to get to the studio for a quick rehearsal.

John and Paul said their goodbyes to Ringo and walked out, but George stuck around for a bit. "I'll miss you...we'll be back soon though ok?" He kissed Ringo's nose.

"I'll miss you too, George. Now go play." Ringo smiled and George reluctantly left.

After a show in Denmark, and two in the princess theatre, the four were waiting for their flight to Sydney. An interviewer took advantage of the time and stopped John and George. He turned on the recorder and sang in the tune of Waltzing Matilta. "Here are the Beatles.."

Both boys sang some lyrics together and goofed off with the interviewer, but then got to serious questions.

"Well, in 24 hours overnight you've come from summer to winter. How do you think that's going to affect your health?"

"I don't think it'll affect it at all." John shrugged.

"We're always just naturally unhealthy, so it doesn't matter." They both laughed at George's humor.

(Interviewer) "And you're gonna wear these Hong Kong suits that you've had made."

(J) "George and I haven't had any made."

(Interviewer) "Haven't you?"

(G) "No, 'cause we're Savin' up."

(I) "we read about it in the papers."

(J) "Ah well, you never believe what they write in the papers. Paul's had one. That's all. He's had two." John gave a loving glance to Paul.

(G) "Yeah. Our road managers have had one or two."

(I) "Now what are you gonna do while you're in Australia? Are you going to be able to get out, or are you going to have to be locked in your rooms all the time."

(G) "We don't really know till we get to wherever we're goin'."

(J) "We don't expect to get out, anyway. If we do it's, er, lucky, you know."

(I) "You can't go on living in a prison like this all your lives?"

(J) "Well, it won't last all our lives, will it." Paul walked over.

(I) "How long do you think it'll last?"

(J) "Well, don't ask me that. But we know it won't last all our lives. That's enough." John shrugged again.

(I) "Now Paul, you bought a Chinese suit." He looked towards Paul, holding up the recording device.

(P) "Yes that's true. Two, I got."

(I) "How much did you pay for them?"

Paul quirkier his eyebrows. "It wasn't very dear. About 10 quid, I think."

"I thought, being the Beatles, they'd charge you twice as much. Did you have a chance to barter with the man?"

"Yeah. Oh it was great, actually. 'Cause somebody said you've got to haggle and get the prices down, so I did. It was quite good. Some little fellow was selling some ornaments and he wanted 160 dollars for them. No. He was selling a watch. That's it, wanted 160 Hong Kong dollars for it. So I kept saying to him 'No, it's not right! Not right! Hundred dollars, that's right!' Anyway, I got him down to a hundred dollars. It was probably worth about 30 dollars, mind you." John and George laughed.

"Do you want to buy anything in Australia?"

"Yes, definitely."

"Like what?"

Paul shrugged. "Er, anythin' in particular... I dunno. I think everyone who goes to Australia buys a boomerang, don't they? I think I'll skip that one. It's a bit... I don't fancy it. There's not much chance to use it in London, really."

After a few more questions, the interviewer thanked them and left. (I thank beatlesbible for having the interview ☺️) The flight came and they boarded.

Jimmy played eight gigs with them, Ringo having been discharged from the hospital and rejoining them on the 14'th in Melbourne.

In the safety of a hotel, George hugged Ringo tight and kissed him hard. "I missed you so much!"

Ringo giggled and kissed him back. "Not too tight, I'm still ill. I missed you too, George."

It was nice to have their drummer back.

Yayy Paul's birthday in next chapter.
