Sam, her boyfriend Tyler and I were just hanging out at my house. I never really liked Tyler but it was Sam's life, Sam's decisions, I couldn't do anything about it. Her and I are pretty close and since we don't get to see each other as much, we talked more. But how Tyler was staring at me the whole night really bothered me. Why did she have to bring him? I constantly felt his eyes on me, but didn't say anything.

Sam had to go home earlier and for whatever reason Tyler wanted to stay a little more. I didn't really have a problem with that, as long as he minded his own business.

After waving Sam goodbye, I shut the door leaning my back against it as I slowly slid down to the floor. God, I had the biggest crush on her.

I sighed and moved my head to the side, eyeing the guest room where Tyler was, what had happened earlier brushing through my mind.

I stood up and wen tot the door, wanting to see what was up with him.

"Tyler!" I yelled, knocking on the door. no answer, so I knocked once more, no answer again.

He's probably asleep.

I was about to turn around and go home when I heard the door open.

"Tyler, hey, what was that about earlier?" I pointed my thumb behind me.

He gave me the coldest death stare.

"I don't know why don't you go and ask Sam?"

"What?"

"I said" he crossed her arms, slowly walking towards me "why don't you go and ask Sam?" His voice was coarse with an underlying stern tone.

"Tyler, what are you talking about?"

His face dropped "You and Sam are such good friends..." his tone was now patronizing, "Why don't you two go and figure it out together?"

I instantly picked up his jealousy and leaned back, he had never really acted this way before.

"Why are you even saying that? What's this all about?"

"I'm talking about you and Sam, always together smiling, laughing, you two act like I don't even exist! Like I'm not even in the room! It's so fucking annoying, y/n!"

"Why are you even mad at that? So we're friends, and what? It's not like we're.." I had nothing else to say but stuttered.

"Oh, fuck off, you two... always like a... couple" his mouth opened in surprise "You're throwing yourself at her! All the time!"

I didn't move a muscle, nervousness crashed on me like a wave, leaving me speechless.

I frowned, "What?! You're just imagining shit, it's all in your head!" I suddenly got defensive.

"You're just throwing yourself at her I didn't even realise" his arms shook up "That's why you're always so happy... always trying to help her and shit... you're fucking in love with her... it's so fucking obvious how didn't I realise?" he chuckled still surprised.

"Fuck you, Tyler, fuck you. You have no idea what you're talking about."

I turned around to head out, but he grabbed my arm and turned me to face him.

"You could have just told me you were a fucking dy-" and just like that, I slapped him across the face, hard, not letting him have the pleasure of saying that last word.

His hand went up to his red cheek, his mouth and eyes wide open, stepping away from me.

I looked at my hand and realised what I did, realising how far he'd gone.
