This video got my wheels turning about the Slytherin students that did come back to Hogwarts. While I was creating the initial outline for my little fanfiction, it started to grow. The plot holes that I didn't see during my initial readings in high school became more noticeable. I then began to start thinking of "fixes" and now, then I needed another book so my story didn't have so many angles.
I was hoping to finish at least two of the books before posting but it's been almost two years. I figured if I finish it, great. If not...No, I'll eventually finish it.
This hasn't stopped me from writing my original stories but with coursework getting more writing heavy (including a fanfiction course I took that helped build this up), I've been world-building and re-editing my other stories. The fanfiction just gives my brain a bit of a break by using another side that already knows the world I'm writing in.
Anyway, thanks cait.orade for the inspiration.
