Nightmare or Buried Memory?

After walking a long distance from the crater, they eventually reached a small house. They peeked inside. They found nothing except for a stick and a bunch of rope.

Chosen was confused until he saw a set of footprints again.

"Dark must've gone there after his broken leg was healed."

An inhale, then an exhale. "Let's go."

"Uh, Chosen?" Second interrupted Chosen right as he began to walk.

"We've been walking all day, and we're..." Second inhaled. "...exhausted."

The rest agreed.

Chosen observed it was getting dark, so he decided to let them set up camp here.

"I'll get some wood and some fruit."

Chosen went into a nearby forest.

Chosen returned to camp, and the others greeted him.

"Hey, Chosen. You got some fruit?" Blue was eager to eat some.

"Yeah, I got some apples and mangoes."

"Oh, sweet! Hehe, no pun intended."

All of them ate the fruits.

Second was the last to fall asleep, and he was trying to remember some sort of event. It seemed like it happened, but he just couldn't quite touch it.

He exhaled sharply and thought, "It's probably nothing. I must've been worrying too much." He then tucked into his bed.

A sense of nervousness washed all over him as he was starting to close his heavy eyes.

Second opened his eyes to see he was beside a cliff, teetering over the edge.

He panicked as he tried to keep his balance.

Thunder was rumbling, the sky was cloudy, and spikes were waiting at the bottom of the cliff.

The rain started to patter on the cliff.

Second saw a red-colored figure in front of him before he could get the chance to run from the edge.

"Was it Red? No, the color is too bright. Wait... no way."

The figure began speaking in a threatening tone. "Do you remember me? Who am I kidding? Of course, you remember me. It's just buried deep in the back of your head, like this!" The figure suddenly threw a spear in Second's way.

Second bent backward to avoid the spear. However, he lost balance, and let out a yelp before a scream as he fell.

As he fell, stab marks started to appear on his body, and flashes of his friends being stabbed by a red-colored figure.

His brown eyes started to turn green as Second felt power surging through his body.

Before he could have a chance to use it, he was impaled by a spike.

Second woke up, terrified and panicking. He looked at his body to find no stab marks. He sighed in relief.

Second came out of his sleeping bag since he didn't want to sleep for now, and decided to get up and observe the place instead.

He kept worrying and thinking about his nightmare as the gentle wind kept whooshing on his ears.

"Second?" Second turned his head to see Green standing not too far from him.

Second sighed. "I'm fine, Green."

"I... thought that. Why are you awake?"

"I just... I just decided to keep guard and watch the scenery."

"Why are you curled up then?"

Green walked towards him and put his arm on Second's shoulder as he began to sit beside Second.

"We both know you're not okay. Come on, tell me what happened." Green could sense the worried emotion in Second. He became concerned for him.

"I just had a nightmare."

"What was it about?"

Second paused for a second since he wasn't sure how to explain it.

"I-" Both of them were startled by the sound of rustling in the bushes.

Two voices were heard as they were getting louder and louder.

"So he did this thing and- whoa. Other... stick figures? Uhh- ehem uhh hi. Uh, I'm Warm, nice to meet you."

Both the recently-met figures awkwardly stayed silent until Warm suggested, "C'mon, introduce yourself, we'll look weird."

"Oh- uh- I'm Stal."

Both groups stared at each other awkwardly.

"...So, we'll just be going now."

Both of them walked out of the area.

"Well, that was awkward." Second stated.

Green chuckled softly. "Yeah. Should we go to sleep?"

"Oh, you go first. I'll sleep later."

Second smiled as he watched the skies.
