Detention Tension

3rd Person's P.O.V
Annabeth was in detention! Yes! She Annabeth Chase the student who NEVER got Detention, Was in detention, and it was all because of Ms Dodds their Algebra Teacher, She hated kids with intense loathing, even the smart ones like Annabeth herself! So this is what happened:
The previous Day...
Annabeth and Piper are walking towards their Algebra Class, 'I have a feeling something will go wrong in this lesson....' Annabeth told piper, 'Pfft! Every single thing goes wrong when we are the algebra!' Piper replied. 'Don't worry about it!' 'Yeah, you're probably right!' After that small conversation, Both the girls headed towards their class.....
In the classroom that day...
3 (3 x - 8) - 5 (3x - 8) = 4 (x - 2) - 6 (x - 2)
-2 (3x - 8) = -2 (x - 2)
-2 (3x - 8) = -2 (x - 2)

3x - 8 + 8 = x - 2

3x - x = x - x + 6

2x = 6
2x/2 = 6/2
x = 2
The horrendous sound of chalk scraping on the board finally stopped, Annabeth reviewed the board and muttered 'The answer should be x = 3' 'Who said that!?'Ms Dodds horrible voice asked, All the students in the class (except Piper) pointed towards Annabeth. 'Ahh! Ms Chase! Now! wouldn't you be the snobby annoying know-it-all!' Ms Dodds turned towards the board, 'Now...I was testing you, idiotic kids, But instead of Shouting the answer like you did Ms Chase, You could have raised your hand nicely and quietly like Ms Bobofit over there!' 'Detention Ms Chase!' Annabeth's Face flushed red with anger, 'What!?' Piper yelled and stood up, 'You give her detention for correcting your stupid mistak-' 'Detention For you to Ms Mclean' Piper looked like she was going to say something more, but Annabeth pulled her down, whispering in her ear 'Don't worry! She's not worth it!'
Back to the next day....(still 3rd person's P.O.V)
Piper and Annabeth walked towards the Detention room, Piper had no problem with going there because she had gotten detention loads of times before, But Annabeth on the other hand was reallyyyyy nervous. The girls reached detention at sharp 3:00 p.m (a.k.a their allotted time for detention) Annabeth and Piper took seats in the middle row, sitting next to each other. Piper took a pack of gum from her backpack and popped one into her mouth, then she offered one to Annabeth, but the nervous girl declined. They had detention for an hour and it was only 3:05 p.m by now, so they still had 55 minutes more to go..... Annabeth was tapping her foot on the floor, (one of the things she did when she was nervous) waiting for their teacher to enter the classroom.
'squeak' the door opened revealing two boys... Jason and Percy opened the door, both laughing (Remember when Jason, Percy and Leo had gotten detention back in the chapter 'The first rehearsal'? That's the one! Leo isn't there because his detention got moved up to the next day) 'Jason!' Piper shrieked, At the same time Jason said piper's name, Annabeth Percy's and Percy Annabeth's.
'What are you doing here!?' the 4 of them asked at the same time, to which Piper replied 'We got detention!' 'Us too!' Jason said.
Percy was about to say something when the door squeaked open again this time it was Professor Quirrell (Haha! Betcha ya didn't expect that idiot to be here did ya!?) He looked up at the 4 standing teens 'Oh-h De-ear! Seems I came at the wrong ti-ime! I'd better go back!' He closed the door and speed-walked away.
40 minutes had passed and no one had said a word the tension in the room was so thick that it could very well be cut with a knife...When 'Ok that's it!' Annabeth suddenly said 'We've been acting like kids! We need to grow up! WHY CAN'T WE ALL BE FRIENDS?!, Piper, Isis (Piper's Former BFF, Check Chapter 1 For reference) was and is still an idiot! Let's just all be friends!' 'Yeah!' Percy Piped in 'Let's all be friends!' Piper looked at Jason's, Percy's and Annabeth's Hopeful Faces. 'Fine!' She finally said A grin broke out on all the 3 people's faces, 'Friends?' She asked, holding out her hands As in to give a big group hug, Friends! The three of them shouted and hugged Piper tightly. At that very moment, the bell rang signalling the end of detention, the 4 of them broke out of the hug and walked towards the door together. For Piper and Jason, it felt like a hole in their heart had filled up on its own.....The gang of 4 were happy......
