Extra Seven: Talk With Best Girl

A/N: Let's see how Tatsumi interacts with Meggy along with Mario.

Extra Seven: Talk With Best Girl

Chapter Synopsis: After comforting Melony on her loss, Tatsumi, along with Mario and best girl Meggy, have their own talk.

Tatsumi was looking at the sky while sitting down on a grassy hill overlooking the castle. It had been an hour since he comforted Melony, and now he was just sitting by himself and was thinking about his fallen friend before he could even go back to his world. "Axol..."

"Hey, Tatsumi!" A familiar voice called out to him. The assassin was then snapped out of his thoughts and turned to his back to see Mario and Meggy just looking at him.

"Oh, hey Mario, Meggy."" the anime boy uttered as he saw the two sitting next to him.

The silence was then filled within the area again as he and the two didn't utter say a word. The only sound present was the slight whistle of the wind blowing to the three. While this was happening, Meggy saw how silent the assassin was and was quite concerned by his behaviour. "...You okay, Tatsumi?"

Tatsumi looked at the former Inkling girl and made a saddened expression on his face. "Yeah, I'm thinking about Axol." Of course, he would still think about him as he had comforted the watermelon girl earlier on the day. He then looked at his right hand. "I know that he is gone, but if only..." he clenched his right hand into a fist while gritting his teeth, "...only I was there to prevent that from happening—"

The assassin suddenly felt a hand being placed on his right shoulder, which made him look at Meggy, who was placing her right hand on his shoulder. "Hey," Tatsumi looked directly at Meggy in the eyes, "I know how you feel about losing Axol, but you cannot have that thought in your head for long. Your big day is about to come and that emotion that you are displaying right now is going to cost you," She assured her close friend's assassin friend, "It may cost your life, but isn't there more to it than that?"

Now that the former Inkling Girl said that Tatsumi, he thought about it and came up with an answer. "Yeah, because I made a promise to Mario and his friends that I would be visiting them when the Revolution is over."

Meggy smiled at him as she could see that he was quite better. "You got that right."

With that thought now in his head, Tatsumi immediately stood up and looked at the two. "Meggy, I don't know what to say, but thank you for your words of encouragement." He then looked at the Italian, "And thank you as well, Mario."

"It's fine." The avatar said to his assassin friend.

Now that he was feeling quite better, Meggy did have one question of her own for the assassin. "Say, when the Revolution is over and you along with your friends are going to be visiting us, what will you do after?"

"Oh..." The assassin realised. When Meggy said that he didn't know how to answer that question. "I...don't know to be honest, but what about you?"

It seems like Tatsumi is on the same boat as the former Inkling. But still, she smiled at him. "Well, after my vacation, I decided that I am going to become a sports coach for all sports."

"So, you're becoming a teacher, right?" Tatsumi said as he raised an eyebrow as he could already imagine her interacting with Run who was a former teacher.

The girl giggled at the response. "You got that right. But before I even become one, I need to go to college to earn a degree. Which reminds me..." She then got out to where she was sitting and was about to walk away from the two. "I need to do my study for an upcoming mock exam, which is going to be coming up very soon."

"You better not be drinking a lot of energy drinks." The assassin jokingly said to the girl, which caused her to groan since she, alongside Melony, overslept due to them drinking a lot of Monsters, which caused them to miss their entrance exam but thanks to Mario and Luigi, they managed to pass their exam. But before she could even make a move, he had to say one important thing. "By the way, I am going to be honouring Axol."

Meggy and Mario then turned to face the assassin. "And how are you going to do that?"

The assassin could easily answer that. "Axol's love is Melony's, not mine. So that way I am honouring Axol's love for her." That was a relief for the two to hear since Mario knew that Esdeath was just a simp with a mixture of yandere and that won't be a problem for her...even though there is a high chance of her dissing Axol's death and calling him weak.

As that was one, Tatsumi, Meggy, and Mario went their separate ways. The assassin went back to where he created that red vortex to go back to his world, Meggy went back to her place to study for an upcoming mock exam, and Mario, well, he's just going to be Mario.

"Promise that we are going to be achieving our goals." Both Tatsumi and Meggy said in their heads as they parted ways until the assassin will bring his friends to their world for a visit.
