Childhood friends (eren x reader)// not going to finish

Hannes is a drunk idiot

Hannes, his face was red and he had a strong smell of alcohol on him.
"Did Mikasa get on your case about somethin’?"  he jeered
"Huh?! What makes you think I was crying?! Whoa. You reek of alcohol!"
" They're drinking again." I pointed out.
"You guys wanna join in?" Yep, he was drunk.
"Uhm…Aren’t you on duty?" Eren
"Yep!We're guarding the gate today. We're stuck here all day. So we ended up getting hungry and thirsty. I f some booze happens to get in our drinks, so what? It's no big deal."
"What if something happens?! Can you fight like that?" Eren was almost yelling
"-- Whadya mean,'if something happens'?"
"You know what I mean! What if they break the walls and get into the city!" You and Mikasa exchanged glances. I know where this is going alright.
"Oww. Geez. Eren. Don’t go yellin’ like that."
"You’ve got spunk, doctor’s son! If they do bust down the wall, we’ll take care of business, don’t you worry. But that ain’t happened once in the last one hundred years." But it can always happen again.
"Still, my dad said there’s nothing more dangerous than being complacent like that!"
"Dr. Jaeger, huh? Yeah, he’s got a point.He once saved this town from an epidemic. I can’t argue with him. Still they’re another story altogether. When you’re a soldier, you get to see those things roaming around outside while you’re on wall reinforcement duty and stuff. These walls are fifty meters tall, though. I can’t see ‘em getting through." Never thought of that...
"Then…you’re not actually prepared to fight them at all?"
"Nope!" He just accepts it like that? Like it's no big deal?!
"What?! Then drop the “Garrison Regiment” name for “Wall Construction Squad” instead!"
"Not a bad idea. But you gotta understand Eren. If a soldier’s doing his job, things have seriously gone to hell. It’s better when
everyone’s calling us useless freeloaders; it means peaceful times for us all."
"Sure, we can stay inside the walls our entire lives and do nothing but eat and sleep!But...that basically... That basically makes us cattle!"
" Man, you’re one plucky kid, all right! For someone who’s totally helpless! Right Hannes?!"
"Huh? Y-yeah." Eren grabbed your hand and started walking away from the men with Mikasa. I blushed a little bit, since he gabbed my hand really hard in anger. As us three walked up the cliff, Mikasa broke the silence:
"Eren. I’d forget about the Scout Regiment if I were you." he stared at her in disbelief
"What?! You think the Scout Regiment is a joke too?! What about you (y/n)?" I finally got the chance to talk
"I think that it-" Mikasa interupted
"It doesn't matter what we think" The town bells rang, that ment the survey corps were back! Me and Eren  smiled at each other.And raced to see them come back. As the three of you stood on boxes, the commander seemed familiar, Erwin! You met him once since your mom was in Levi's squad. Eren smiled at him in amazement, but Erwin looked down in shame.
"Eren, I met him, his name is commander Erwin," I whispered. He nodded, but became shocked when he saw all the injured men. You three watched as a old woman found out her son died and his death was in vain.
"Talk about gruesome."  one citizen said to his friend
"You can say that again,"
"Our taxes are basically going to feeding and fattening those things up now." Eren got one of his firewood sticks and hit him on the head.
"What the hell…you little punk?!" Mikasa dragged him and threw him on the wall.
"Wha’s the big idea?! Now the firewood’s all over the place!" Mikasa and I looked at each other.
"Eren. Have you changed your mind about joining the Scout Regiment?"
"Help me pick this up." Huh, dodging the question.
"It’s not that bad of a mess."

TIME SKIP TO GOING HOME :I

"we're home," Eren greeted.You rinsed you hands and gave a potted flower you grew some water. Mikasa was next to you
"Mikasa, how's life?" you started
"It's the same as it always was."
"Oh, dad, you're leaving?" Eren asked.
"Yes, (y/n)'s dad and I are going to work on something in the interior."
"Then wouldn't you two leave at the same time?" you asked.
"He had to leave early since there were other checkups before."
"Eren says he wants to join the Scouting Regiment." Mikasa said blankly.
"Eren! What are you thinking?! Do you have any idea how many people have died outside the walls?!"
"Yeah, I know!"
"Eren. Why do you want to go out there?"
"I want to know what the outside world is like! I don’t want to live my entire life in ignorance inside the walls! Plus… if no one else is willing to take their place, then the lives all who’ve died will be for nothing!"
"Well, my boat's about to leave, better get going."
"Hold on, dear! Talk some sense into Eren!"
"Words can’t hold back human curiosity. Eren. When I get back, I’ll show you the basement that I’ve kept secret all this time. (y/n), do you have the key that your father gave you?"Yours was silver unlike Eren's, which was golden.
