"Why did you rush up here without me?" Suk-Jin demanded (Y/N) as he stepped into her's and Jeffrey's bedroom, lips thinning when glancing toward the other officer in the room.

"Commander Lee," the woman saluted him before (Y/N) could answer, he obviously being her superior. "I apologize for letting her access an active crime scene; she just rushed in here too quickly."

"It's fine, Jenkins," he addressed her by her last name. "Moving on, was there anything else found besides the body? A note, perhaps?"

"Actually, yes," Officer Jenkins replied with a surprised blink, approaching one of the other people in the room before returning with a stiff card, blood smeared along the edges. "Here you are, Commander."

"Thank you."

Slipping on a pair of latex gloves, Suk-Jin then took the note and flipped it over, eyes scanning the information before reading it aloud to (Y/N):

My dearest (Y/N),

After watching you go about your daily life, I've noticed two things: One, you're too kind for this world, everything around you looking like rot and filth in comparison. And two, regarding fact number one, is that this piece of shit before you had taken advantage of that goodness and has harassed you continuously, even after the countless times you've asked him to stop and reported him. I hope you enjoy my gift of his death. Until next time, my love.

"It says... that this boy here harassed you... is that true?" Suk-Jin inquired after watching (Y/n)'s reaction. "If I may, can I ask what he did?"

"He... He was just a bully..." she murmured as she scratched her arm nervously, creating red and irritated marks that she didn't seem to notice.

"I see..." he nodded whilst sliding the note into an evidence bag, then giving it back to one of the officers to take it in for evidence. "How about your boyfriend, Mr... Pèrez, is it? Did he also know the victim?"

"Yes... they've always had a bad relationship," she replied, he now taking notes of her responses. "But... that was mostly because of me."

"You?"

"Because of what Ken did..."

"Of course, no need to elaborate, but—"

The small ping of her phone and the notification that popped up made her jolt, knocking Suk-Jin from his train of thought and question as he then gestured for her to go ahead and take the device out, when she did having to allow a small gasp to escape. Letting the video play, it was almost as horrific as the sight behind her.
