Rain is something you can always count on. You can always count on rain to be two things: wet, and refreshing. Sometimes rain is heavy and cold, sometimes nothing more than mist on a windshield. But you can always count on rain to change your mood, whether from dark and gloomy to darker and gloomier, or sometimes it just washes feelings away.
No matter what, you can always count on rain in this ever changing and quite surprising world we stumble through blindly.
Come to think of it, life is sort of like driving a car through the rain. It makes the road wet and the windshield misty, and in order to make the road ahead clearer you need to push away the rain. Sometimes in life there's lightning storms, sometimes the rain turns to hail, sometimes there's thunder so loud you wonder if the sound itself will tear open the skies.
But as long as the sun comes out, the rain seems to stop and a rainbow appears. For me, the rain has stopped. But I don't see a rainbow. And I guess that what I'm about to explain.
