He picks up the scissors, snipping off chunks of her long, gorgeous hair. People had always complimented her for her lovely hair, but he kept mentioning to her that he would like her better if her hair wasn't so very long. After many years of him telling her so, growing louder and more difficult to ignore, she finally agreed to let him cut it. After all the long strands had been cut away, she puts the scissors back on the counter, looking into the mirror at the wonderfully short hair. He really did like his hair better this way.
