This was it, the last piece of rubble, after this one he'd finally out of this godforsaken place.

He looked back on his "home" for the last few weeks? Months?, He was buried underneath the rubble during the inital attack, it was so sudden, luckily only a part of the basement that he was in, caved, problem? that part was the door out, he was lucky or unlucky depending on a person's point of view, to not be buried alive, but he might as well be, he had very limited food and water, he had to resort to eating cockroaches and other bugs in this basement and "recycled" his own urine, his heart was pounding, as he used all of his strength to push the debris aside and light filled his eyes, before his eyes re-adjusted to the light, he felt, relief as his eyes looked upon the blue skies, and

Nothing, there's nothing flying in the air, there are no transports, no ships the size of buildings, nothing but clouds and peace

He hoisted himself off of the hole and
Saw ruins, the fires had all died out, a long time ago, buildings had entire sections blown out,

"Hello?!" He shouted, his voice echoing through the ruins.

"Is anybody here?!" He shouted again, this was obviously worrying

"What the hell happened?"

As animals ran around the empty wrecked streets birds soared through the air unchallenged, sunshine illuminated the bombed out city, it was like nature reclaimed the area, it felt... peaceful but maddening.

He walked on the abandoned streets, towards the old base, the green fauna overtaking civilization, and it's only a matter of time before the city disappears and nature retakes it

"How long was I in there?" He pondered out loud, he looked to beacon, the Castle in the on the cliff looking over Vale, where the hunters and huntresses protected this once great city, to see it in pristine condition as if it was still maintained.

The figure took note of it, that place was where he would go next,

Memories overflowed his memories as he walked, Happy memories and not so good ones. As he saw the base's outline, appearing over the horizon, He picked up his pace, at first jogging and then broke out into a full on sprint, to see it in a state that was similar to the city, completely overtaken with overgrowth, he walked into the base determined to find something that might help him or at least give him answers.

He looked around, he knew this base like the back of his hand, he ran to the mess hall to find, as expected no one there, and then to the barracks, the same as before, then he ran to the officer's quarters, and ran to his personal quarters to find it, not there, a massive chunk had been taken out of the structure itself, an explosive or a semblance could not have done this, he walked out of the building, disappointed, he then ran to the Headquarters, strangely this place had not been overtaken by nature of course as expected no one was there and the energy for the computers had ran out long ago, he sighed.

He sat on the floor and leaned his back on one of the desks.

"There's nothing here." He commented, he didn't know anything right now, and he hated it,

The figure slowly gathered his thoughts, only accompanied by the quiet and the slow sway of the breeze as the wind turned the trees into instruments and dancers.

Then, he heard something all too familiar... Engines, it was aircraft engines , he followed the sound to the culprit, a drop craft, it's engines were turned on, and appeared to be in working condition.

"Hello?!" The figure shouted, no answer

That... That couldn't be right, Expulsus regulations state that aircraft should never be left alone in hostile land, he slowly walked to the craft, looking around for possible enemies, as he slowly walked into the vehicle to find it completely empty, no gear, no equipment, nothing.

"Where the hell?"

The he cautiously walked to the craft's cockpit, looking out for possible hiding places for any would-be ambushers, he looked at the dashboard, it was working properly, the clock wasn't though, it appears the craft's internal clock somehow broke.

He flicked a switch and the engines died down, before completely shutting down.

He ran his hand through his hair, before sighing "At least I've got a ride."
