Chapter - 2

Soon it was 2pm, and school ended.

I reached home soon, and wasted 8 hours either eating, dancing, playing with my bro, sleeping or streaming songs.

Dad came around 8:15pm. He freshened up and came in the drawing room to spend time with us. We talked for some time, and he said something I never expected he would say.

'Lisa, I wanna tell you something. Bring Kai too.' He said in a bright mood.

'Oh okay.' I said and went to Kai's room.

'Kai, dad's calling us.' I told him while he was sitting on his study table and doing something.
I went near him and saw him doing his homework.

'Awww smarty pants you're doing your homework?? Go on I won't disturb you~' I said as I was just about to exit his room when a soft little hand gripped my finger.

'No I'll come too.'

I giggled and carried the little boy on my back all the way to the drawing room.

I put Kai on the couch near dad and I sat next to him.

'Yep dad. What were you gonna tell us?'

Before he could continue, mom called me.

'Lisa!'

'Yeaaa mom?!'

'Come here dear!'

I entered her room and saw her sitting on the bed holding her phone and making a confused face.

'What's the matter?' I asked.

'Why is the brightness of my phone increasing and decreasing by itself?! Is my phone hacked or something?! Oh gosh you why do kids use my phone even if you have one? You've damaged my phone now!'

'Oh gosh mom chill! Give me that.' I said as I took the phone from her hand.'

A few seconds later

'Mom!'

'What?'

'You're phone isn't hacked or damaged so calm down! Auto brightness was turned on! Don't blame us!' I said frustrated.'

She just looked at me and nodded. I doubt she even understood what auto brightness was.

'Goshhh lmao' I said in a low voice, almost a whisper, and I exited the room.

'Okay dad now finally tell us!' I said before sitting on the couch.

He chuckled and continued.

'So, let me get straight to the point. We're going on vacation!'

I went silent for a while. I really didn't expect him to say that (I'm not unhappy tho). Wow.

'Yaayyyyyy~!' My brother said excitedly.

'What?! Wait really? Oh my god- what- why so suddenly?!' I asked him in curiosity and excitement.

'My company had some mercy on me (lol), and appreciated me for my hard work. So as a reward to me from my boss, we are going to Australia!'

I just sat there astonished, not believing a single word he said was true (but of course it is), and I wasted no time and hugged him.

'Thank you so much dad...' I said while hugging him.

I was more than excited because neither me or my brother had gone abroad before. And Australia, damn, it's such a nice place! Thank God that we're going there and there only. I doubt if it was any other place I would agree to go.
