"Are you alright?" Tony asked, helping YN hobble through the front door.
"I'm okay." YN smiled, clenching her teeth through the pain as to not burden Tony. He had shown up that morning to take her home, surprising YN and Steve who had already been there to assist her.
He had acted as if it hadn't been eight days since they'd last spoke, and YN had let it slide, her mind convinced it was her fault that he'd shrunk away in the first place. YN winced as she lowered onto the couch, covering the expression with a smile quickly.
"Can I get you anything?" YN was aching for some pain relief, the last she'd had was over five hours ago and the effects had long worn off. YN casted a look over Tony's stoic expression, even his tone didn't give anything away so YN shook her head, still smiling.
"It's fine." YN nodded, watching Tony hover for a second. "Tony-"
"Well, if you're all good, I'm going to head downstairs and work on some... stuff." YN nodded, lowering her gaze as Tony left the room. She sighed, closing her eyes as her stomach curled with nausea, pain making bile rise in her throat.
Blowing out a calming breath, YN looked over to the counter, where her medication lay. She considered asking J.A.R.V.I.S to ask Tony to come back, but the look on Tony's face as he left made her reconsider. She slid forward on the sofa, planting her feet down and heaving herself forward. She groaned as she straightened herself, breathing heavily.
"Miss. Gray, it is recommended that you do not attempt walking alone for another few days, would you like me to alert Mr. Stark?" YN swallowed, closing her eyes as the room spun around her.
"No, J.A.R.V.I.S, I got this." She insisted, lifting her foot and stepping forward, then another, then another. Smiling as she got closer to the counter she sighed in relief, panting as she rested against a breakfast stool. "See? Piece of cake."
"Knock, knock we brought-" Natasha was cut off by Steve's gasp as he rushed to YN's side, grabbing her elbow.
"What the hell are you doing off of the sofa? You're not supposed to be alone. Where the hell is Stark?" YN waved Steve off, trying to reach for her meds.
"Leave it. I'm fine." YN gasped as her stitches tugged, making her whimper.
"Nat get the meds." Steve bent down, gently pulling YN into his arms, bridal style. "Where is he?" YN scoffed, shaking her head.
"Lab." She muttered, resting her head against Steve's shoulder.
"J.A.R.V.I.S, get Stark up here." YN groaned as Steve lowered her back down.
"Steve, please he doesn't-"
"YN, what did you need? I was kind of... busy." Tony finished, rounding the corner as Steve glared at him.
"She could have really hurt herself just now. What were you doing that was more important than your injured girlfriend?" Steve demanded, gesturing to where YN had her eyes squeezed shut, her hand hovering over her abdomen.
"I can't know she needs me if she doesn't alert J.A.R.V.I.S to tell me, Rogers. I'm not a mind reader." YN clenched her teeth, fighting back tears of anger.
"Stark, she can't be alone-"
"Well, if you care so much, you look after her." YN opened her eyes, connecting them with blank brown.
"Tony-" Natasha chastised. Tony scoffed, waving his arm at them as he turned and left. The three remaining stayed silent, unmoving. "Um... We brought cake?" YN chuckled, wiping away a stray tear.
"Sounds perfect." She smiled halfheartedly, trailing her eyes back to where Tony once stood.

YN groaned in her sleep, whimpering as flashes of light flittered behind her closed eyelids. "Tony." She murmured, making the brunette beside her wake up.
"YN?" Tony whispered, rubbing the sleep from his eyes.
YN whimpered, screwing up her face, turning his head to face Tony, making him realize she was still asleep. "Tony, please." She muttered, letting out a sob. "I'm right here, Tony. I can help you."
Tony's heart strained as the woman cried out. Tears sliding down her face as she continued to whimper. "YN, hey honey. Wake up." Tony leant over, running a hand down her cheek.
Startling awake, YN winced as her wound pinched. "Tony?" She said in alarm, relaxing once her vision cleared and Tony became visible. Realizing what she'd done, YN blushed, looking away. "Uh, sorry for waking you."
Tony closed his eyes, knowing why she was so embarrassed. "YN, don't be embarrassed. I'm here to help you, you know that." YN looked up, meeting brown eyes that finally looked familiar.
"I miss you." YN whispered, making Tony smile sadly.
"I know, baby. I'm so sorry." Tony said, leaning over a brushing his lips over YN's lightly. "Go back to sleep, I'm right here. And I'm not going anywhere."
As she expected, when YN awoke, Tony was gone, leaving a cold pillow and a hole in YN's heart. She ached for Tony to wake her up with soft kisses and loving touches, the way he used to. Sagging back into the mattress, she let out a loud sob, knowing no one could hear her. Her cries got louder, releasing all of her pent-up emotions. She cried into the pillow, leaving a large wet patch there. She cried until there was nothing but dry, broken sobs wracking her injured body.
Finally calming down, YN sucked in a shaky breath, releasing it slowly. She slowly sat up, clenching her teeth against the pain. Lifting herself onto her feet, she sucked in a tight breath, blowing it out in short spurts.
"Miss. Gray-"
"I know, J.A.R.V.I.S. I'm fine." YN muttered, hunching over and waddling toward their ensuite. Completing her business, YN eyed the shower, longing for the hot water to ease her tension. Biting her lip, she debated again asking the A.I. to call Tony up. Closing her eyes, she dropped her head, choosing a different route. "J.A.R.V.I.S, could you please call Natasha?"
The A.I. dialed Natasha's number and YN sighed as it went straight to voicemail. "I'm sorry, Miss. Gray. Is there anyone else you'd like me to try?"
YN lowered herself onto the toilet lid, her legs starting to shake. "Uh... Ah hell. Can you try Steve?"
The phone rang once before the familiar voice answered, the sound making YN smile. "YN? Are you okay?"
"Hey Steve." She murmured, frowning as her voice grew thick.
"Are you okay?" YN chuckled, letting a few tears of embarrassment drip down her face.
"Uh... This is so embarrassing but Widow didn't answer and-"
"YN, what is it?" YN sighed, closing her eyes and letting out a small sob. "YN, come on. You're scaring me."
"I really want a shower." Steve sighed, chuckling under his breath making YN sob louder. "It's not funny." She cried.
"Calm down, YN. It's fine. Where's Stark?" YN cried harder, her emotions from earlier creeping back up on her. "Okay, breathe YN. I'll be there in five. Just breathe, okay?" YN nodded, not really caring that he couldn't see her, she was just glad someone was going to help her. She was just glad someone still cared.
