Me and Gwen chatted happily on the ride to the cafe.

Me: "Seriously kids these days snitch on everyone."

Gwen laughed

Gwen: "What do you expect? They are kids after all."

I shrugged

Me: "I agree with you there, but all I'm saying is, I was never this nosey as a kid."

Gwen looked at me through the rear view mirror.

Gwen: "In all fairness, you were not nosey, but you did have crackhead energy."

I nodded in agreement

Me: "Yeah, but can you really blame me? The first time we met was the first time I ever got out of the orphanage."

We reminisce about the old days, but we did stop when we got to the cafe.

Me: "Thanks Gwen, I owe you one."

I got out of the car and start to walk inside the cafe. I didn't get far when I heard Gwen calling for me.

I turned around and she was smiling

Gwen: "I want to cash in my favor!"

I nodded

Gwen: "You have to cook tonight!"

I cleared my throat

Me: "Deal!"

Her smile turned brighter as she waved and drove off, presumably to her work.

I shook my head

At least she's forcing me to do something productive.

I happily walk inside, the place was relatively empty, which I didn't mind much. I gaze around, trying to look for Ahri. I quickly spot someone waving to me at the corner.

I couldn't tell if it was Ahri or not, she was wearing a hat that covered most of her face. I cautiously walked towards the person waving.

I quickly realize that it was indeed Ahri. I relax and take a seat across from her.

She removed her hat, with a bright smile on her face, she addressed me.

Ahri: "It's been so long."

She placed her hands on top of my own. I couldn't help but smile, who wouldn't?

In front of me I see the same little kid I took care of.

Me: "Yeah, it's been six years since the last time I saw you."

I smile a little more at her

Me: "You seem well."

She removed her hands from my own.

Ahri: "Why thank you."

She clasped her hands together, I quietly shift and sit up. I mirror her clasp hands.

Me: "So, did you do it? Did you become the famous star you always dreamed of?"

She nodded enthusiastically

Ahri: "I had to go through a phase for a while but yes, I have become the star I always wanted to be."

Before our conversation could continue two coffee's arrive. Ahri thanks the server, I thank the server soon after.

I wasn't sure what the coffee had but I took a sip anyway.

Hmm not bad.

Ahri: "Like I was saying, I did become a star. I even created a little group, they've been my closest friends for a while now."
