Chapter 5

I don't know how much time had passed. Ina was still clutching onto my hand so I couldn't reach for my phone.

I silently sat for a while longer until I heard the clicking of the door. Nami walked inside and turned on the lights. She notices me surrounded by the kids and slaps her forehead with her palm.

She shakes her head before making her way over to me. When she finally made it to the other side of the room she whispered to me.

Nami: "It's dismissal time."

I nod, then signal for her to help me with Ina. She leans down and carefully removes Ina from me. I was easily able to slide away from the other three.

I sighed internally and stood up.

Me: "Let's get these kids out of here."

Nami nodded and went around the room to wake up Renekton and Nasus.

She signaled me to get Shaco and Zoe. I went over to them and woke both of them up.

Zoe: "Mmm I'm still sleepy."

She groaned and complained, eventually I got her up. I looked behind me where Shaco was supposed to be. He was missing, panic quickly filled my heart, until I remembered that I was dealing with Shaco.

Me: "Guess I'll have to tell your parents that you've been mischievous."

He quickly reappeared and started tugging at my arm.

Shaco: "It was a joke!"

I shushed him to keep the other kids from waking up. I lead them both into the play room and eventually to the front desk. Jennifer and Luke were already there waiting.

Jennifer instantly lit up when she saw Shaco. Lucas pushed himself off the wall and walked over towards Zoe.

Zoe: "Papa!"

Zoe skipped along to Lucas

Shaco: "Mama!"

He blinks forwards and hugs Jennifer.

Jennifer: "Thank you for taking care of this little rascal, was he well behaved?"

Shaco turned to me with a scared glance.

I nodded

Me: "He was great this time around."

I flashed her a smile, I then turn to Lucas. He gave me a nod, he always was a man of few words.

Both of them took their leave. I spot Azule waiting patiently for Renekton and Nasus.

I make small talk with her for a few moments until Nami comes out with the boys.

She stands up and both of her boys run to her. As the trio leave I wave them goodbye all of them wave back.

I head back inside the playroom. Nami had actually woken up all the kids. Of course the only ones left were Jayce, Lillia, Maria, Aria, Ina, and Eleanor.

Lillia's parents picked her up a few seconds after Azule left. Jayce's uncle came to pick him up a few minutes after that. But that's not what I was thinking about.

Ahri, you've gone and grown up into a fine young lady.

I glanced across the play room to Aria who was rubbing her eyes.

You even got a kid now, it's funny, I never thought a situation like this would arise. And I most certainly never thought you'd remember me even after all these years.
