The Poets Pub Ark
The first generation came two by two
Blue sky their imagination, he was the Cumulus Nimbus
A mind filled with clouds of inspiration, ideas fell like raindrops
Whetting the appetites of hungry minds, wherever poetic seeds scattered
A few flowers blossomed, the garden flourished
Among them grew two magical roses, one a poet the other a storyteller
Under their spell it grew into a Rainforest, fresh minds arrived in its monsoons
Empty voids became lakes, filled to the brim with written words
Swollen with pen and ink, rivers began to flow
Torrents etched lasting marks, deep into the crust of literary history
Rivers transformed into oceans, where shoals of likeminded spirits flourished
Mighty waves crashed upon verdant shores
Riding on the crest of a wave, I rode a white horse ashore
A world of shared creativity was an alien place indeed
It took this soloist some time to adjust
Slowly, but surely this wordy paradise became my haven, where I will remain
Waiting like Noah, for the floods to return
Caring for a couple of acrostic poems aboard the Poets Pub Ark
Footnote: This poem is dedicated to the @PoetsPub progenitor, @BillTemple1957.
I've already decided upon the theme for my fourth and final submission. It will be another dedication titled 'The Gardeners' and surprise, the form will be acrostic.
