"Budget?"

"We have enough alright."

I chuckle, wrapping my arm around my fiancee's neck from behind the couch. Papers were scattered everywhere, some about dresses, others about caterers, venues and whatnot.

I was deeply in love with this woman. She was the woman of my dreams and I've said it multiply times over. I couldn't get enough of her, I want every inch of her at all times.

"Want something? I'll run down to get something for ya."

"I'll have a cup of coffee."

"Ok, be right back Viv."

It felt good to stretch my legs after such a long time, out of the house. We had been locked in for 2 days, discussing and planning our wedding. Everything needed to be perfect.

"Hey, a cup of coffee to go? Black."

She nods and turns, grabbing the fresh cup of black coffee from behind her, handing it to me with a smile.

"Enjoy."

I give my thanks, pay and leave. And just my luck, I bump into Joseph right outside the store.

Really? Now?!

I turn, walking in the opposite direction even though that was not the right way to my house. I walk quicker and quicker, hearing his footsteps thudding behind me.

"Trisha!"

He yells out my name and I continue to walk, ignoring him.

Eventually, he catches up to me and spins me around, showing me a happy face.

"Hey Trish. What's going on?"

He looks at my ring.

"Engaged?"

"Y-yeah!"

I cough out the word, hating to be in this awkward conversation. After that, we just stood there in silence, with me trying to come up with some sort of an excuse to get the fuck out of here.

"I gotta get back to my apartment."

"Who's the lucky person?"

At least he didn't assume.

"Uh.. you don't know them... I seriously have to get going."

He looks dejected as I quickly give him a pat on his chest and wave, walking away.

Fuck, I felt something. I felt a spark. Shit. No. You're engaged. No. No. Don't do this to her. She doesn't...

I pause. It's not as if she's never cheated on me. But I don't want to be this person who seeks revenge.

With a heavy heart and confused feelings, I walk back home, with the coffee now cold. Nearing the apartment, I unlock the door, seeing her passed out on the couch.

Smiling sadly, I place the coffee in the fridge, disgusted with myself at my thoughts. My thoughts of Joseph.

I drape a blanket over her, looking at her and studying her face. That beautiful face. She proposed to be with me for the rest of my life, but I'm having thoughts about the man who betrayed her.

How could someone still look hot even when they're asleep? Her lips parted, eyes at peace, breathing slow and calm. Everything about her was just so perfect. I felt like I was in a dream. A dream I wish I'll never wake up from.

Is it a dream? Have I been dreaming?

All these things that have happened, they all seemed too good to be true.

Having this gorgeous woman, with me.

But is she real?
