I NEVER EVER felt this scared my whole life, I kept running, limping from the long-sliced wound on calves. It stings so badly that I can feel it ripping as I take a step.

I run my way zigzagly and decided to enter an establishment, then hide.

Therefore, when the roaring creature fell silent, I tuned my widening eyes around only to find a man frying the creature with his eyes. I stepped backward but stumbled at the sight of them, getting closer to my direction.

I picked myself up and started running again. They were fighting and I didn't know what to think - I just needed to get out of here. People were starting to run around. Stampeding and screams filled the streets of London.

I felt myself nudging a number of shoulders through the street, till someone intentionally pushed me just to getaway. I fell on my palms, wincing. My attention automatically went to my calves and saw the blood gushing even more.

The heat of the moment rose within me and I was about to fight for myself. When Drew suddenly came out of nowhere, pushing the guy with all force and punched him in the face. "Are you out of your mind?! That's a woman you pushed right there" His jaw tightened as he knelt on my level, eyes widening at my wound. He pulled me up, scanning my face with a worried look. He tucked all the fallen strands of hair away from my face and turned his attention back to the guy in front of us.

Drew didn't let his gaze leave him as he continued to send him an unpredictable look; it may appear to be a blank stare to others. But Drew would surely make that guy do something that would make him regret what he had just done to me.

I placed a hand on his forearm and pulled him. He was taken aback as the glow in his eyes disappears "Let's go!"

I repeated, "Come on, Drew!"

After a hurtful run, we finally reached the hotel and got surprised at how many people were scattered outside - begging. We swayed ourselves into the numbers of people, his laced hand getting tighter and tighter on mine as we walked. We reached the front among the others but got swatted by the security alongside them. "We can't let you inside this property. This is an order from the owner of this hotel. We can't just let random people go inside!" A man in uniform spoke up.

But we were checked into this freaking hotel.

The people started yelling and throwing stuff at them, but some just chose to step back and decided to enter another establishment. While a woman in her 40's spoke up about how come they were letting us die from those creatures. I see why people choose this place to keep themselves. According to the appearance of this massive hotel structure, it is unquestionably safe here.

I heard Drew tsk'ed on himself, with his head pacing back and forth. Figuring out how to get inside. "I can't Laila" He looked at me desperately and said, "I am doing it. We need to stop the bleeding of your wound."

Then, we got in alongside others in the blink of an eye. Drew once again grabbed my hand and made the other people who were about to enter the elevator step back and let us through. If this wasn't a serious situation and if my calves weren't hurting, I would surely laugh at that.

"WHO?" He asked, his brows probably colliding in response. I'm lying on my stomach, so I can't tell if he was happy or annoyed by the question. I told him about my escape with the "deviants," - yeah, that creature from a thousand years ago. I slightly move my face to see my wound but was stopped by him, "Don't move, I am still bandaging it"

"You keep on telling me that for 30 minutes already, what's taking you so long"

He sighed while pushing his head back, "I'm still figuring it out..Jesus Christ"

"Maybe it will work if I was seated instead of this position"

Drew didn't answer, as if he came to realization which made me grin subsidedly.

He gave the corner of my wound a two soft rubs before telling me to turn around. We were in his room and he stitched my long-sliced deviant made cut, we didn't have any anesthesia - so he just freaking made me sleep.

I just woke up now with his sight of him bandaging, and stressing.

My eyes fell into stitched looking state of calves which made me shocked and nervous. "Why does it look like that?"

He broke into a grinned upon seeing my pale face. "That's normal. It will heal soon don't worry. If you don't want to see it while I cover the wound, I can make you sleep again if you want. We will go to the hospital first thing tomorrow and yes, I would tell them I stitched you up and be surprised that I did it right" He snapped as he started figuring out the bandaging again. Drew was very careful with how he touches me, he always make sure it will lay soft then ask if it hurts.

"I know you did it right," I simply commented with a smile. He started staring at me once again, which made me notice his eyes were a little puffy. "You cried."

He snorted with a smile. "Shut up."

I nodded playfully and take a long look at my wounds. "As I was saying, the answer on your - who question. I saw that handsome Eternal. He saved me from the first deviant I saw."

He gave me a boring look before standing up, "You know, there was a saying, that you were supposed to be happy at a reunion."

"Whatever, I'm not on good terms with him, alright. I just don't trust him. "

He sighed when he noticed my puzzled reaction to that. "Yes, I can read minds, but when it comes to them, it's hard to, it feels like.. what's the term? Blocked - yeah, blocked. But I'm learning to, particularly with him. I am desperate to know what's inside that head." He finished with a darkened aura and a narrowing eyes, which made me laugh at him.

"Yeah, well" I countered, with a smirk. "I wanted to know more about it"

He fixated his gaze back at me and make himself sit comfortable on the bed. It took a long paused and stare before he shook his head lightly. "No..no it doesn't matter. I don't want you thinking about it. You're not the same with them, they just happened to be my old fling who looks exactly like you"

I smirked and playfully punched his thigh and - froze. My eyes widen, lips parting in response. "Don't make me used that two products I have in my wallet" He warned.
