"Hey, Mara." I ask. "Yeah" She responds, awaiting elaboration. "Who do you think our social studies teacher is?" I ponder. "I don't know, probably some random old teacher who doesn't actually like teaching" She responds. "Yeah, so far it seems that almost every teacher we have seen in the hallways, excluding Ms Halliday, looked like they hate their job." I agree. "Like it makes sense, there is lots of excitement in teaching. I could never!' She says jokingly, poking me with her elbow.

We arrive at the classroom to find a bald Old man, his head kinda looks like a coconut. "Goodmorning Class" He says with no enthusiasm At All! "Good morning Mr..." we all pause waiting for him to say his name but he doesn't get the memo. "Ok, let's start with the roll. Sophia Baker." he says plainly.

"Your assumption was right Mara." I whisper                                                                                           "Andrew Carson." he continues.                                                                                                                            "Huh?" Mara whispers back.                                                                                                                                            "He is boring" I state.                                                                                                                                                "Mara Dnam." He calls out.                                                                                                                                          "Here!" She says raising her hand.                                                                                                                          "Oliver Stuart."                                                                                                                                                                        "Yeah, he is."                                                                                                                                                                "Kaylie UwU." he calls out.

My Face goes red as he keeps repeating the name. "Here!" I finally shout. Everyone turns to face me, my face is as red as a tomato. I look down quickly and I fumble around with my stationary, rearranging it. "Um, it's actually Kaylie Niwnu." My voice sounds muffled because my head is buried deep into the Dark blue collar of my Blouse. Mara, being the best friend that she is, noticing I was feeling uncomfortable, pointed out to the teacher, "Hey, we never got to hear your name." The bell rang for recess and we rushed to our lockers.

I open the key to my locker to find a weird sort of upside down silver crown with half of a golden wing attached on a chain. Mara walks up to my locker holding her lunch and a shiny something else. As she got closer I could see it was like mine except opposite colours; instead of a silver crown, she had gold and instead of a golden half wing she had a silver one, but it was facing the opposite way. "Hey Kaylie, I fou..." "Quick! Put these together!" I interrupted. We attach the two wings together to form a pair of wings. A bright light is shining but no one else seems to care, or they don't notice it at all.

The light gets brighter and brighter until it's so blinding that I have to close my eyes, I look up at all of our classmates that now look ginormous. "Hey, they've grown!" Mara shouts, "or have we shrunk!" I say. I start to panic. "What do we do?! What do we do?! WHAT... DO...WE...DO?!" I say pacing what looks like the bottom shelf of my locker. "Why don't we try putting the wings back together?" Mara asks, calm as always. I crack my wrist out of nervousness and Mara shudders. "Oh sorry, does that remind you of it? I'm really sorry, it's what I do when I'm nervous. I'm really really really sorry" I stutter. Mara shakes her head trying to get that sickening memory out of it as I shake my hand to stop myself from cracking it again. We hold the wings together again and put the crowns back on our heads. "Well I don't know about you, but I'm never doing that again." I say while putting the crown back in my locker. "same" she replies, doing the same thing.

Before we knew it, school ended and we were back on the farm. But there was something waiting for us, something that wasn't there before.
