I slowly drifted through the crowd of people. Listening in on groups of conversations that I thought were interesting. "Did you here about the village not to far from here with the moaning woods?" One man asked and I paused to listen in. "No, but really. what is so different from other forrest around here?" His compainion asked. "Apparently, gut reching moans and screams have been disturbing the night for weeks now. Someone even said that they saw the creature that makes the sounds." The man continued. "It's a massive dark colored figure. As it walked it sounded like shuffling armor." The companion chuckled. "Maybe its the wandering knight trying to lure the village to their deaths. You better watch out." He teased. I moved on and my eyes caught sight of everyone exiting the building. I manuevered through the crowd to them and smiled. "Good job not killing anyone guys." I teasingly praised. Ban snaked a hand around my waist and his intense gaze locked me in place. "From now on you stay right by me." I smirked and rolled my eyes. "Ban, you can't just tell her what to do like that." King defended."It's alright, King. It's not like I have to listen." The arm around my waist tightened and a growl of warning rumbled in Ban's chest. "What's up with you lately. Your acting like a bit like an overprotective brother." I looked up at Ban in surprise at his words. I found his smug smirk as he stared at King. To his credit, King simply crossed his arms and looked away. "Don't be rediculous."

I breathed a sigh of relief as the first match started. The girl was fast, but soon the guy put up a barrier. The girl slammed her fists against the barrier over and over, but it did not give. It slowly began to expand and pushed her back until it was about to push her out of the arena. "Hey, that's the tavern uniform." Meliodas commented. I looked at her outfit and gulped. "Yeah, I would know that thing anywhere." I added. "There's no way that's Elizabeth?" King questioned. At the last moment, the girl rared back and then slammed her fist again the barrier with all the force her body behind it. The barrier shattered and she lunged forward. Loosing her hat in the process and knock the guy way over the crowd. I began to cheer for her excitedly and she turned to us blushing. "Guess I can't hide it anymore." She bounced over to us. "Hey guys." She said cheerfully and my mouth dropped open as I realized who she was. I lunged to hug her. "That was awesome! But how are you like this?" I said as I pulled back to look at her. "Um, who are you?" Meliodas asked. Diane's smile faded before punching him in the stomach and walking off. Ban and I laughed at him while King followed after Diane. "You ok, Mel?" He straightened and fixed his clothes before following after the other two.

I turned to Ban and gave him a quick once over. I placed a hand on the new red leather that stretched over his chest. "I like the new look. It's very you." I told him and he chuckled. "Well, now we match." I shrugged as his hand rested on my hip and pulled me closer. "I guess so." I shifted a bit as I looked down at the blades on my thighs before looking back up at him. "Thank you for the blades." His eyes softened. "You looked like you wanted them." I floated up to meet his forehead to mine and caress his jaw. "I did very much. I love them." We stayed like that for a long content moment and warmth spread through my entire body. I heard him take a slow deep breath. "You've done this only once before with me... I forgot what it felt like." I pulled back but he didn't let me drift too far. I looked at him a bit confused. "I don't remember ever doing this with..." I trailed of as the memory stopped me. It had been when I was Elaine. When we had watched the sunset together. He had threaded his fingers through mine. I had leaned close to him and touched our foreheads together. We had stayed like that in the stillness happily. I stared at him a bit shocked as he searched my eyes. I reached for him with my magic.

'I know it's you Elaine. I've missed this the most. Please be right.'

I took a shuddering breath. I wasn't sure if I was ready to confront him about it just yet so I placed a kiss on his cheek before floating back to the ground. I turned without a word to find the others. "Are you running away again, bunny?" I threw him a look over my shoulder at him but found him smirking. I didn't respond because I wasn't sure what to say. He chuckled. "Alright, I won't push you. Just remember what I said this morning. You are mine." He said the last part slowly and I couldn't help the smile or the blush that crept up my face. Even my ears felt a little hot. "The next match will begin momentarily." The announcer yelled out just as we got to the door. We paused to watch the contenders to enter the arena and begin. Ban slide past me to open the door. "Hey King..." He stopped in the doorway and I looked around him to see King face down o the ground. I rushed around him. "Hey! Are you ok?!" I turned him over. I looked him over and then rolled my eyes when I saw the stupid grin on his face and bloody nose.
