I've had to realize that not everyone is born equally. Some are born to succeed and some are born to roll down a staircase of failure. The thing that determines all of this? Your quirk. If you're quirkless, you're automatically at the bottom of society. Beaten at. If you have a mutant quirk? You're assumed to be a monster. Assumed you can't be trusted. I had to realize this when I was four.

I swung slowly on the swings, watching the other kids play on the playground. I hadn't gotten much sleep the night prior so I didn't have the energy needed to play with the other kids. Who could get much sleep when your hero dad hadn't returned from work yet? My mind had to drift and worry about what might've happened. He came home of course, just pretty late. Just as Shouta, Hizashi, and Hitoshi had assured me. When my dad was busy, I would stay at Shouta and Hizashi's place since usually the two weren't busy at the same time.

Tiny explosions in the distance made my attention come back to reality..
"Enough, Kacchan!" I heard a voice shout in the distance. I sniffed the air, for any idea of what may be happening. I squinted as the smell of smoke hit my nose. I tried to smell past the smell of smoke and I could smell five boys. One I couldn't put a name to. The next, Deku, the other three, Bakugo and his lackeys. I could only assume what was happening. Bakugo and his lackeys were probably having the time of their lives while the other two boys cowered.

I jumped off the swing to follow the scent. It didn't take me too long to arrive at the scene. Bakugo with two other boys behind him, one with wings and the other long fingers. Then the quivering green haired boy stood in front of another boy on the ground crying. I never knew any of the boy's well but I knew of them since they were in my class of course. "Hey! Leave them alone!"

Bakugo's eyes darted to my direction. "Well, if it isn't the pup herself joining the battle. What, do you want me to throw a stick?" His friends laughed at his comment, they constantly thought he was so clever, no matter how dumb his comments actually were.

"Bakugo, get a hobby maybe. Instead of beating up kids to make yourself feel powerful." I glared into his crimson red eyes.

"Should've accepted the stick." Explosions came from his hands before he went to reach for my face. I was able to dodge his hand then tackle him and sunk my teeth into his shoulder. The iron taste only convinced me to keep my grip. A yell came from the boy before I felt a burn on my neck. I stopped biting him and yelped, baking up my hand automatically went to my neck, although as I touched it, it only hurt worse. I winced, tears welling up in my eyes.

"Tsubasa! Get her!" Before I could react, Bakugo's winged friend grabbed ahold of my arms.

I struggled to get free but to no avail. Explosions once again came from Bakugo's hand. "Stop it!" I heard Deku yell. Tsubasa's grip on me loosened and when I looked back at him, I could see it was because of Deku jumping on top of him.

I turned around to face Bakugo again, his hand was moving to my face once again. I used my claws to scratch his arm, tearing the skin and causing blood to spill out. Bakugo screamed, alerting the teachers. "Hey!" A teacher yelled at us, running over to the situation. The teacher grabbed me by the back of the shirt collar. "I knew you were up to no good!"

"Thank you for helping me..." Deku had broken the awkward silence that had been between us.

I smiled at the boy. "Of course, that's what heroes do."

Deku returned a small smile at my words. "I'm Izuku Midoriya, everyone calls me Deku."

"I'm (y/n) (l/n), people call me Wolfie."

"Are you the daughter of the pro hero Hound Dog?" He asked.
