Me and Kasumi enjoy this moment after a short rehearsal. The trees near the station rustle ominously, the lights and ad screens illuminate, and we watch people walk by. A group of salarymen who smell like alcohol stumble past us then a group of girls walk by heading towards the 109. So many people nearby look so cool and fashionable. Not surprising with all the great stores nearby.
"I still can't believe Miyu tried to start a fight with me earlier. She is not going to like how I'm meeting Daiki."
Kasumi sighs resting her head on her hands. "You need a date for the party. If only it could be me."
I pat her shoulder. "If only Kasumi, if only."
A guy plays guitar and sings in front of the. He's okay but not as good as Kasumi at either.
Kaoru sparkles as she walks towards him. "Ahhh, forgive me but your tempo is off. Tis but a fleeting evening."
She takes his guitar and plays his song but better.
He thanks her and starts playing again.
I tell Kasumi while resting my head on her shoulder, "So many stylish people walk by as always. But not as good as us."
"Tis a sweet sight seeing you two. What brings you two here?"
I look over and Kaoru meets us. "I'm just meeting Daiki here."
"Likewise I'm meeting Ran. What bothers you my kitten?"
I sigh a disappointed sigh. "It's Daiki he's running late. I hope he'll ask me out to the party."
I look at my phone and he really isn't although it certainly feels like it.
Kaoru blinks moving her head back. "But you confessed to me your heart cannot belong to a guy. Like how Chisato has my fleeting heart and cannot let go, Kasumi has yours."
I sigh resting my head on my hands. "But grandma wants a guy to take me to a party. Our agencies want a couple to cement an alliance so we're going to sign a contract saying we are allowed to date each other since the original says we have to stay single."
Kaoru dramatically waves her hand and poses, "If you do nothing, you achieve nothing. It is but fate someone ask you to the dance."
I look up into her eyes, I tell her, "I wonder if I'm being selfish? I am, aren't I? That's right I'm just mean and self centered. I secretly date Kasumi because I'm afraid of disappointing our fans and grandma. That's why when my keyboard was slipping I didn't hesitate to blame everyone else. Why am I like this?"
Tears fall onto my lap.
Kaoru taps under my chin looking into her eyes. "Tis hardships are fleeting. Happiness is fleeting. You are kind and always think of others. You always want to do the right thing. Your temper tis scary yet shows you know something is wrong my kitten. Although I admit I like it better when you smile."
"Hi sorry I'm late!" Daiki runs waving to us.
Daiki then tells Kaoru. "Kaoru! You shouldn't make other girls cry like that. You're such a princely heartbreaker."
She tilts her head confused. "My heart belongs to Chisato and no one else."
We stand up and Daiki says, "So who wants to dance? Or at least karaoke."
"O ho ho ho ho, I don't think Kasumi wants to sing more."
Kasumi sounds surprised. "Are you kidding Arisa it sounds fun especially with all of us here!"
