Arisa's Fake Romance

Chapter 18 - Dance Contest

I invite Ran, Tomoe, Ako, and Rinko on stage with me since Miyu also had dance partners.

I walk out to the stage, taking in a deep breath, remembering the routine Daiki taught me. It's a para para and Kpop blend. My pulse and heart get faster as I stare out to the crowd, only phone  light and penlights are really visible from here. The opening synth beats slowly ramps up with light drum tapping sounds, then rhythm ramps up and the drum gets faster. I start dancing right after the drop by bending my elbows to the sides moving my forearms back and forth then my arms float up diagonally. Ike Ike plays and we step sideways crossing our arms pointing down then bending our elbows pointing up, then again to the side. Then a Hello Happy World cover of Night in Tokyo by Atrium plays so we dance faster as the beat speeds up. We step forward waving our arms horizontally then step back. We step sideways twice left rolling our arm around the other and repeat on the other side.

The music stops then So What plays. Rinko and Tomoe squat down pointing and Ran and Ako do the same on the other side. They frame their faces with their forearms tilting their heads. I walk between both dance groups confidently stepping forward moving our shoulders tilting our hips the other way and rolling our necks. They step to the side again with their elbows horizontal then doing a para para arm raise facing out from the group so in opposite directions then squat as I walk down the middle between them. I confidently walk flicking my left pigtail.

We walk around each other then Yura Yura Ring Dong Dance starts after lonely heart and we shake our hips waving our arms over our heads side by side as we squat down and when we get up wave our arms in front of us. We skip towards each other then back standing in a row again. Tag Me then plays and Ako and Ran, and Tomoe and Rinko walk forward moving their shoulders in opposite directions towards me as I squat with a leg forward and my chin resting on my hands. They move their hips towards each other and I get up and dance with them. Now we move in the same direction. We twirl to the left twice moving our hip out to the right holding our hand up and waving our other hand to it. Then we twirl three times to the right then shake our hips and shoulders stepping forward with our fingers spread and faces between our hands. We move our hips left and move our hands under our chin then move our heads back. We squat down a little then point to the ground twice then again. We do little hops stepping moving our hips out then cross our arms shaking our shoulders then uncross when we hop facing our feet and hips the other way.

I yell out to the crowd, "Get up and dance!" Dance Around the World starts playing and Chisato and Kaoru follow along then the rest of Pastel Palettes, Hello Happy World, Roselia, Afterglow, and the rest of the crowd.

Poppin Party dances with me with Pastel Palettes and Afterglow just behind us while Hello Happy World and Roselia dance behind them. We wave our right arm twice to the side stepping out then repeat on the left and wave our arms to the side stepping in front then turning around. Then we step to the side with our elbows horizontal and wave our hands to our shoulders then back. We step back waving our arms in front over our heads then repeat on other side. We wave our arms in front making fists then turn looking up waving our forearm twice then again. We bend our knees waving our left hands in front of us then repeat the last part.

The crowd cheers as they dance along with us. I feel so alive dancing with my friends. The music's positive upbeat vibe banishing negative energy from the auditorium.

Part of another Loona song plays. We windmill our right arms facing forward then hold our arms to the sides shaking our hips. We lift our right knees with our hands under our mouths with our fingers spread then we step back the lifted leg and lean forward. We wave our right arm up then step our left foot forward, shake our hips once, then turn around facing the audience again.

The shrine maidens from earlier dance now and Greta looks around and slowly gets up and starts dancing along with the rest of us.

Pastel Palette's cover of Ayaponzu's Spring Ray plays. We kick back our left legs then slightly dip then hop back three times on our left foot with our left hand under our mouths and our right swinging over our heads forward.

Eito looks around and sneaks standing up starting to dance with the rest of the crowd.

We continue dancing and Pastel Palette covers of Happy Synthesizer play. We hop twice then put our hands over our eyes then repeat on the other side. Then hop again stepping forward with a fist up, step left looking up right moving our arm, then bend a little jumping around 45 degrees then shake our hips twice then repeat.

The song changes to a Poppin Party cover of Para Para Cute so we all speed up with the beat then stop as the spotlights stop on us. I step out and turn around once, kick my leg back, raise my left arm, pull it down, turn again, then lunge forward squatting as I pump my fist with my elbows out. I cross my arms and uncross by punching down behind me. I step forward slowly punching out with my elbows horizontal stepping left to right. I lunge forward squatting down while I roll my left arm around my right. I get up and tilt my hip while I make V signs across my eyes then throw my arms behind me and step forward. We walk around each other then kick out leaning forward to the side and straighten an arm above us and the other to the side. Then we lunge to the side with our arms held straight to our sides with the other arm slightly higher. Then we kick out and punch out on the opposite side. We put our left feet in front of our right and arms held straight out to our sides then our forearms frame our faces and slightly elbow out. We slide with our hand in front of our faces then the music stops and we stand in a half circle on stage then the music stops.

The crowd claps and cheers as we bow. I feel so light and floaty and the top of my eyes hurt from moving so much so fast with the light. But it was worth it.

A girl in the audience says, "Wow that was so fun! I'm voting for Arisa!"

Another girl excitedly says, "I stan Arisa too."

Kasumi's bottom eyelids flex up as she smiles in a playful way. "Arisa. I knew you had it in you."

"Thanks for believing in me Kasumi. Even when at first you didn't want me to you are always there for me whenever I need you, even if we don't seem to get along sometimes."
