"Alright, you three head to your nests to get some rest, I'll report to Stygiastar." Acornheart said to us.

Poppyfern, Moonstream and I all nodded in response. I went straight over to my nest, and plopped down.

I let out a large groan as my body relaxed into a more comfortable position, and immediately closed my eyes.

Almost as soon as my brain relaxed, I was prodded in the side. "Get up. Meet me by the camp entrance in five minutes."

Ugh, what now?

I dunno.

My body had a quick 'seizure' as I straightened myself. Maple?! You can reach me from your camp?

I dunno. I'm at your border.

Why are you-

Warrior's Assessment.

There was a quick moment of silence as I let my brain comprehend what was happening.

Oh. That's probably what I was woken up for.

Yeah. Swift had her assessment yesterday.

YOU CAN REACH-

We both had dawn patrol.

Oh. What's her name?

Swiftstorm.

I snorted audibly. Fits.

"Stonepaw! Are you coming or not?'

Foxdung. I have to go. I'll talk with you at the gathering tomorrow.

See ya.

I quickly stretched before standing up, and gave myself a quick grooming. I didn't care much for neat fur, but Poppyfern would have my tail if I didn't keep it orderly.

When I finished, I made may way over to the camp entrance, where Poppyfern was very much annoyed.

"What took you so long?"

"I took my time getting up."

"You're about to take your Warrior's Assessment and you TOOK YOUR TIME?"

I rolled my eyes and let her finish her rant, after which she finally sighed.

"You didn't hear anything I said, did you?"

"Not a word."

What followed was possibly the largest groan to ever come from a cats mouth. "Whatever. You already know what's going on. You hunt, I watch. Go."

I simply turned and left the camp, heading immediately in the direction of the Thunderclan border. I wouldn't be able to talk out loud with Maple, but if I got close enough he may be able to give me some tips.

Unlikely, of course. He's probably heading back towards his camp. And he's also not from Shadowclan.

As I finished up my thinking, the scent of the border flooded my nose. I squeezed my way through a small row of brambles, and emerged on the other side.

After I blinked a few times and shook my head to clear them of brambles, and looked up.

And standing right in front of me was a fat squirrel.

I don't know what I did, but thank you Starclan.

I didn't bother stalking it. It was barely a tail-length away, and had already seen me. We were locked in some sort of staring contest. I have yet to understand as to why the squirrel wasn't running for it's life.
