Mirai's POV

Blood is already dripping on my arms, while Kenjaku is fine and only bruises can be seen. No matter what technique I will use, he will easily avoid it. I can't even use domain expansion because Shiro told me not to use it against Kenjaku. I heard him chuckle making me dash towards him and swing my sword before using one of my cursed techniques, holy barrier.

" Stop using this useless cursed technique. I told you, it's impossible." He said making me just ignore him and use my cursed energy to make the barrier stronger. I can already tell that my techniques are weakening because of using too much-cursed energy. His eyes widened when he felt something inside the barrier making me smirk.

" It's true that I need to become strong for me to defeat you. But I guess I still have a long way to defeat you." I said I'm just being hesitant, am I afraid of him? I heard him scoff and suddenly a black mist surrounded my barrier making me feel a pain in my hand so I back away.

" If you knew it then you shouldn't have fought back and just died." He said, my eyes widened, what kind of cursed energy is that? He easily destroyed the holy barrier, I made it stronger but he managed to break away. I heard Shiro and Kuro yelling at me to back away, they can already tell that the black cursed energy was spreading around the place.

" What are you going to do this time, Kenjaku?" I asked while seriously facing him, he suddenly laughed before facing me.

" You amaze me Mirai, you're just like your mom. Putting a brave face after dying. But don't worry, I won't kill you, I still need you." He said with a disgusting grin making me glare at him.

" I'm not your toy," I said before appearing in front of him and swinging my sword but again his body can't be cut like an air just passing by.

" Damn it Mirai! Let's just leave this place!" I heard Kuro yell, I faced them and they're too serious. I then faced Kenjaku again and he was just smirking. Kuro and Shiro were still fighting cause Kenjaku tamed a lot of strong cursed spirits.

" Kuro, Shiro! Can you teleport!" I yelled back and they nod. I was still facing Kenjaku and I plan on running towards the two sacred wolves. After that, the two will use teleportation and we will leave the place.

" Mirai, I have something to tell you. You knew that cheerful brat am I right?" He asked making me just raise my eyebrows. If he mentioned someone cheerful then that's Hiabara. " My soldier killed him." My eyes widened as I clenched my sword, Hiabara died? That's impossible he is strong. Kenjaku started laughing making my blood boil in anger.

I ignored Shiro's voice as I appeared in front of Kenjaku again. If I can't cut him, I'll focus my cursed energy on my blade. I swing my sword towards his arm, and I finally cut it. I heard him grunt in pain but I ignored it and swing my sword, but he kicked me. I got slammed towards the floor making me cough blood, he suddenly appeared in front of me so I hurriedly stand up and back away.

He was trapped again, he tried to break free but this time, I put all of my cursed energy on it to make the barrier stronger than before. I can feel my body weakened and my hands were shaking, still, I composed myself while seriously watching Kenjaku trying to destroy the barrier.

" I see, so that brat is a trigger for you to unleash your full potential," Kenjaku said and started laughing again. " Good thing he was killed." He continued, I clenched my hand trying to calm down while raising my hand to exorcise him. Kenjaku grunts in pain with a smile that disgusts me the most.
