"Chapter 6: Family"

Hearing footsteps, Dream looks up from his phone to see Ranboo walking out of the 'Courthouse.'
"You wanna go home?" Dream asks, pocketing his phone and standing up straighter.
"Yes please," Ranboo replies with a tired smile on his face.

"So, how was your day?" Dream asks Ranboo as they walk home.
"Oh! Well, I ran into The Blade while going to school. He offered me a position to join a group called The Syndicate!"
"Ohh, that's nice of him-"
"He didn't invite you, right?"
"Shut up."
The boys laughed as they came up to their apartment.
"Anyways, you got the keys?" Dream asked Ranboo, as he patted down his pockets indicating he doesn't have his.
"Yeah I have mine, don't worry."

"We're home! Ran? X.D.?" Ranboo shouts out to the rest of the house.
"Guess there upstairs-" Dream begins.
"REN!"
"Guess not then-" Dream finishes off, chuckling to himself.
"Oh Clay, X.D. was looking for you by the way," Ran says as he walks over to the two.
"You seem happy, what did that Brackett say about your arm?" Dream questions, taking in Ran's smiling face, causing Ran to chuckle.

"Bob just made dinner, tell everyone to come down please," Ran asked Dream as Dream started walking upstairs, with a faint "Yep!" Being heard from Dream.

"So- you saw Jackie?" Ranboo asked as he and Ran sat down at the table. "How did it go? Is your arm better?"

"Yeah... uh- about that-" Ran stammered at trailed off.

But as Ranboo was about to question, Ranbob called out from the kitchen, "DINNER!"

Shrugging, Ranboo and Ran made their way to the kitchen, where Ranbob was standing, holding a pot of food.

"Oh! Hey Boo!! Can you bring the plates with you?"

"Thank you, Bob! I should get to bed though," Ranboo said as he put his plate in the sink.

"Alright, Boo," Bob called out, as well as everyone else called out 'Good nights' all at different times and volumes.

"Night!" Ranboo called back out, smiling fondly back at his family.

Ranboo sighs, and sits down at his desk, glancing at the potted allium on his windowsill before writing in a book.

'Well today was quite interesting, kinda fun. Hm, not sure why Dream wanted to blame them though-'

Ranboo was cut off from his thoughts by a loud yawn from him.

'I need to sleep though...'

Rubbing his eyes and getting up from his desk, Ranboo flopped onto his bed, and fell asleep.

"Have you told Ren yet?" X.D. asked Ran back in the kitchen, with a dark look on his face.

"... No- they are still too young to have to deal with this X.D." Ran said with an equally dark expression on his face.

"I suggest to you,that we tell him soon, Ran."
