Racism and mental health are connected, Some may not agree others might but its the plain truth because of systemic racism. Ethnic minorities lack the same amount of mental health support services than of White people and this is all because of systemic racism and even when ethnic minorities do go to mental health support services the people who are supposed to help them with their mental health lack a multicultural focus, have white allergy ( being racist without knowing ), or just simply racist where it is not that obvious and only the victim picks up ( microaggression racism ). Often times ethinc minorities would be misdiagnosed or get prescribed the wrong medicine. Even throughout history many countries that have a history for enslaving black people such as America have seen ethnic minorities as “other” which would mean that race group was considered inferior or not human which allowed them and justified them to not give them the right medical necessities  they would need if they were to be sick. Even when black people were slaves they would do clinical tests on the slaves in the most excruciating way and now in our times they still don’t give us minorities the right health treatment.
