The snow swept the floors with glassy-white sprinkles of icicles, the flakes floating about buoyantly to a tune that resembled ballet. Flamboyantly fluttering from the skies and falling in finesse and grace, elegantly flaunting the grey sky.
With russet leaves dancing around to the snowflakes whispering Christmas carols to Jungkook's ears that were dusted a lovely shade of pink by the time he enters the hallway that leads to the classrooms, the heavenly scent of gingerbreads lead him to idiotically sniff around a bit more.
"Ah Kookie, there you are. I've been looking around everywhere for you!"
Jungkook sighs, rather loud enough in order for the intruder of his solitude to hear him, inwardly rolling his eyes before turning around, trying to brush off the way he would've slipped if it weren't for the extreme poise he carried around.
"Oof, wait up for me, will you?"
"What is it, Min?"
Jimin huffs, panting for air. He breathily manages to speak, "Feisty the first thing in the morning? Did you wake up on the wrong side of the bed again?"
"Cut the crap and get to the point already," whines Jungkook. "I've a class to get to in another fifteen minutes and am in definite need of a breather before that."
"Geez, fine then." Jimin rolls his eyes as he proceeds to stroll with Jungkook, "Did you see Jin hyung's text from earlier today?"
"Yeah." Jungkook's face visibly falls, "What about it?"
"So, are you and Tae planning to come this time?"
Jungkook expected that, and Jimin knew on seeing the scowl take up the most space on the other's face.
Jungkook sighs as he balls his fists underneath the mittens covering them, finding it too difficult to once again decline the polite offer just like how he did every year. "I'm not really sure, I'd asked Tae about it and he'd assured he'll let me know about getting his leave by noon."
"Sounds good," Jimin slurs as he hooks an arm around Jungkook's, swinging them back and forth, "I was hoping you'd drop by someday or the other, it's been ages since I got a sight of Jang-Mi and Min-Jee."
"You just saw them last week, Jimin," Jungkook points out with a slight shake of the head.
"Yeah, a whole damn week I tell you, that's more than enough to miss those darlings!"
"You just love it when they decide to team up and aid you in whatever it is you do all day," says Jungkook, "And besides, all they do is learn derogatory terms and get time out for using them right in front of my eyes."
"Sometimes, I believe, you need to loosen up, Kookie." Jimin smugly states, "They're eventually gonna pick them up from someplace or the other—"
"And you — you just sped up that process for 'em!" Jungkook seethes, "I can't help but worry about it, like — you know, whether I'm being a good enough and responsible parent, now that we've taken up this huge responsibility. I'm not tryna state that those sweethearts are a burden to me, but it's just, I need to make sure they grow up right, need reassurance of whether or not I'm failing as a parent, and maybe forcing them to do stuff against their wishes. I want what's best for those two, but I still can't seem to manage my anger when each and everything they and their dearest daddy do infuriates me!"
