"You're an idiot."
"Says you." Taehyung remarks. "An idiot in love. That, I am."
Jungkook chooses to roll his eyes at that. The elder can be really shameless at times, and that was a huge contradiction to his own slightly reserved and I-prefer-to-be-left-alone-rather-than-socialize self.
"Yeah? You really just said that?" exclaims Jungkook, bewildered.
"Yeah, I mean I just di—"
"Kim Taehyung!" interjects Jungkook, "You tell me I am an idiot after you just rejected your boss's appeal of you taking an extra week worth of a break in addition to the applied two weeks? You're unbelievable!"
"Yeah, that was kinda cool of me, wasn't it?" Taehyung smugly comments, "What's better than putting up a workaholic image to impress your boss and get that regional IT manager post all in a month's worth of time."
Jungkook shakes his head with a sigh. Hopeless case, he is. Taehyung is.
"But look on the bright side," grins Taehyung as he eyes Jungkook pout whilst waiting for the signal to turn green, "I did get my share of holidays despite the tightly packed schedule back in the department."
Jungkook hums, unable to suppress his smile. Indeed he knew Taehyung did all that for him, hell how could he for all the twinkies in the world ignore the thoughtful gesture? Yet, here he is, with him holding onto his ego as tight as ever.
"Mmh. But are you sure we are to leave today itself?" questions Jungkook, skeptically. "I mean, the day wasn't that hectic but still, won't it tire us out?"
"Nuh-uh, we're leaving today and that's final." Taehyung sternly states, with no wavering in his voice. "I'll drive if that's the issue."
"You're so eager for what?"
"I wanna see my baby happy, is that such a bad thing now?" asks Taehyung, with an expression feigning innocence, which though Jungkook would never admit, made him feel putty on the seat. And of course, forget that the lights had turned green until car honks woke him up.
Upon receiving silence from Jungkook, Taehyung huffs, "The least you could do out of gratitude is gift me a kiss."
"Right when I'm driving?" Asks Jungkook incredulously.
"Fine it is, I'll give you one then." And before Jungkook could part his lips to protest, a chaste peck was placed onto his cheekbone, resulting in him fish-mouthing whilst eyeing the road ahead with big eyes.
"Back to earth, Jungkookie." Taehyung teasingly sing-songs, chuckling at how pale the younger's knuckles had gotten over gripping the wheel way too tight. "You took the wrong turn, Kook. Are you that flustered?"
