"Good enough for me. I'll keep an eye out for you too. And we will talk over the details at my house." Jenn says
I walk to my mirror. "Ok I guess."
What am I getting into?
CHAPTER 3- *sorry to inform you that I'm no longer naming chapters. It's harder than it looks*
The next day, while my parents were eating breakfast at the kitchen table, I decided it was the best time to ask them if I could go to the 'sleep over'. But I couldn't bare to look at them as I asked...fearing that they would see I was lying to them.
Mom asked me if I was OK. I just said I had a big test coming up
I was slightly hoping my parents would say I couldn't go, but I knew if I couldn't go, Jenn would. I wouldn't sleep all night, I would also be texting her every second. So the thought of me not going left quickly.
Thankfully they said yes.
After I ate I got my phone and texted Jenn.
Jenn left me a note of what to bring and 'how to'.
She knows I'm worried, In the letter she put 'don't worry, we're in this together' And she's smart, I'm getting nervous.
I put a check mark next to everything I'd done. Now all I have to do is put my stuff in the bag.
I grab my red bag to pack in.
It doesn't close on the top, I'll have to hide the party cloths on the bottom.
I feel so dirty hiding stuff from my parents. I may be growing apart from them but I still want their acceptance, and this plan isn't helping with that.
'Do it for Jenn, do it for Jenn.' I think to myself.
I'm trying not to think about family or getting caught. Its not a big deal right? I just need to calm down, we will just stay for a hour or two then go. Yup, that's my plan for me and Jenn.
My phone buzzes in my pocket
It lights up with the new notification
One new message: Jennifer
I open the message
"Hey! You're still coming to the 'sleepover''. Right?"
She meant 'party'
Reply:
"...Is there anyway I can still change your mind on the entertainment?"
I'm also tring to also hint back 'party'.
I know what she's going to text back. I can't help but to think she would change her mind.
Buzz...
"Livy.. c'mon don't be that way. It will b fine :)"
Reply:
"k."
Buzz..
"C U tomorrow. :)"
What I really wanted to say was ' we're making a big mistake. Let's forget about it. we can have fun another way'
She would know I'm trying to convince her out of the party and we will have an argument before I even see her.
-I go to bed dragging my feet-
~next day~
Its Sunday afternoon. I get up thinking 'Today is the party'. It took me a long time to fall asleep. I finally thought of something else. I only got a few hours of sleep.
