Forgotten

Chapter 4

~ Read below when done ~

Jenn looks at me smiling, I hear a song almost ending saying "And there's no stopping us right now. There's no stopping us right now.."

With her dimples big, she says "Lets go have the night of our lives." I smile and say thinking of the song and how nothing can stop us. "Yes Jennifer, 'lets'"

And for the first time in three days I'm glad I could do this with my best friend. Why should I regret this?

~Chapter 4~

As we walk in me and Jenn start to smile less.

All the guys and girls are near the entrance waiting for their prey, we can hardly get in. I'm starting to feel claustrophobic. As if a tidal pool just washed over us of sweat, hormones, and overly needy girls.

"Jenn?"

I bite my nails, heart beating fast.

I don't see her, I look behind me. Everything starts to mash together.

Will I faint in front of all these people?

I feel someone grab my arm. I look at the person grabbing me.

It's Jenn. "Hey, what's a matter? I'm right next to you." I feel like I'm going to puke. I've never been around so many people so close together. The smell of sweat, I think it's the smell.

"Jenn...too...many...people." I say, trying not to heave on her.

She grabs my wrist, and pulls me forward. Does she have to be so forceful? Oh, that's right--I might hurl and she's leading me away.

I see a pocket where there's hardly any people.

There's still a knot in my stomach. The thought of going outside sounds really good right now.

I think she's directing me to where there's no people but then she takes a sharp turn right in a hallway where all the girl are huddled together as if they're wild animals eating their prey. Jenn pushes a girl out of the way as if she wants a taste of what they have.

I see a slight glimpse of a guy and I instantly know it's Jake.

Why would she just ditch me to talk to Jake? I grab her this time and yank her towards me. I yell over the music.

"Jenn, why did you do that? You where supposed to stay with me. I feel sick, don't you see that?"

She smiles yelling back. "I do."

She goes back to Jake, I see him point behind me, I see another hallway..

I see her nod in agreement. She comes back to me.

Why do I keep thinking she's out to get me? I suppose after she made me come with her I'm losing her trust.

"There's a bathroom over there." Jenn says I nod in agreement as my stomach eases. She opens the door for me--thankfully no one is in here. She comes in with me.

"What's a matter with you?" says Jenn

I look at her annoyed "I'll be fine just give me a breather OK?" I say walking to the toilet making sure I don't puke.

After I feel better me and Jenn go back to the party. Standing in the corner I watch some guys talk to Jenn while I watch feeling invisible.

A few minutes go by and this girl comes over with this headband with a tiny hat on it.

Jenn smiles. "Livy, this is the girl who invited me to come over."

The girl extends her hand for me to shake. I look at her shes all sweaty from dancing, I really don't want to touch her; I shake her hand anyway.
