It all started because of a smile

*flash back *

10 years ago when I was still 5 years old ...I slipped out of the house to play outside ...... I went to the nearby woods all by myself ..... I was walking happily until I slipped ....I almost fell to a cliff but I was able to hold unto somewhat a branch ....
My hands are shaking and I cried and cried for help ....helplessly .
Until I saw a boy....he looked at me and then he smiled , he reached out his hands to me and he pulled me up....

Thank goodness I'm saved ...

"Are you alright ?" He asked
"Yes. Thank you " I replied

I am still shaking ....

"Where do you live?"- he asked again.
"At the house at the top of the hill" I answered.
"Well then let's go ... I will accompany you " he said

He held my hands and helped me stand up but he didn't let go ..
We reached the hill in no time ....he held my hands until we reached the gate of our house .... He then let go and started walking away .....

"What's your name?! " I called out to him
He looked back and shouted "its Taichi" and then he smiled and started walking away again .....

I looked at the fading figure of the boy I met that day .....and I can't stop smiling....the shaking is gone,the nervousness is gone ,the fear as well is now gone ....I guess its all thanks to him.

When I got home.... dad is walking all around the house ....and when he finally noticed me he rushed and hugged me .....
"Where did you go? I keep searching for you " my dad said
"Just down the hill dad " I replied

"I have some good news for you my dear " dad said
"What is it dad?" I asked
"I was able to contact my old friend and I discovered that he also lives here " he cheerfully said ...."and his child is around the same age as you ....you can now have a playmate...they're going to hold a party for his child's birthday the day after tomorrow ...we will go. Let's go shopping tomorrow and buy his son a gift also let's buy you a nice party dress as well " dad added
"Dad...you know I'm not good at being around other people ...I won't even be able to last there an hour " I insisted
"Sweetie.....its just a simple party ...wait not really a party though it is just some sort of dinner meeting to meet them....it will just be them and us .....we will just go to their house...and we spend every summer here ... you at least need to be able to have friends like Josie and Sarah back home " he said
"But dad-"
"Analice everything's gonna be fine"
I sighed ..."okay" I replied

Dad called one of the maids to prepare dinner ..... After eating I changed into my sleeping clothes and went straight to bed but I can't sleep....I keep thinking about what dad said and about the dinner .....

The next morning I woke up late so I wasn't able to eat breakfast with my dad
He left already but the maid said that my dad will pick me up at 2pm ...right now its 8:30 am so I have a lot of time before then .... So i took a shower first and put on my pink flowery dress and i comb my hair i asked Sally the maid that I'm closest to... to braid it for me ... She did a fishtail braid at my hair ...I could say that she's really good at these stuff ....

After preparing ...lunch is already cooked and prepared already at the dining table ...I ate lunch ...

While I'm waiting for my dad to arrive and fetch me I went to the living room and watched television and after an hour I almost fell asleep but the sound of the car woke me up ....its my dad ...
