Chapter 5 : Birthday girl

Today I'm turning 20, I woke up to the sound of Jenna screaming "happy birthday!".

"Come on wake up you lazy" she said.

"Okaay!" I said with a murmured voice.

She pulled my sheets and the cold covers all my body makeing little goosebumps, I dragged myself from bed to the bathroom, staring at my messy face in the mirror, opened the faucet and splashing the water on my face.

"Lauren can you be any faster we have to go!" Jenna said while knocking the door.

I rushed to the shower and toke a fast shower, got dressed , after we went to get our car.

I waited for any sign saying where are we going, and saw a sign saying (Santa Monica Beach pier).

"Beach?" i said questionably.

"Yeah whats wrong with that?" She looked at me.

"Will Its a little cold today".

"I didn't say we had to swim".

We arrived, I got out as Jenna did and she opened the car's Trunk and pulled heavy blankets.

"Hey can you help me over here?" She asked.

"Yeah sure" I said going toward her.

I saw pillows and picked it, I asked Jenna "for what?".

"Surprise surprise" she said while she walking in the sand.

I followed Jenna till she throw the blanket on the ground and I did the same and throw my self on the ground from tiredness.

"Oh sh*t I forget something" she said faking a frustration.

She ran to her car and opened the passenger seat, she pulled something but I couldn't see it because she was too far, heard a door close and a peep that the car is closed.

Jenna ran to me with a white box and a plastic bag, "whats that?" I said looking around the box.

"No no no! The party didn't start so the birthday girl don't open her gifts" she said while she pushed my hand away.

"Party?" I said looking at her raising an eyebrow.

She cursed beneath her breath, turned around like nothing have happened and putted the box beside the pillows.

"where are you, come on!" She whispered to the caller in her phone. "your late" she said with her hand on her mouth to lower her voice.

I saw a car parked next to our car and 2 girls with 1 boy got out laughing and came to say happy birthday to me, they looked familiar but I got no idea in my brain who are they that moment.

"Kate meet Lauren, Lauren meet Kate" Jenna looked at as with an excitement face like a toddler excited for Christmas.

"Kate what?" I said asking.

"Kate Alley, remember me?" She said.

The name repeat it self in my mind to find who is she, "wait Kate Alley from middle school!" I said with my hand in the air.

"Yeah!" She said then we hugged.

After an hour the place was full of people I knew for ages and some are their friends.

The atmosphere was amazing in that moment, the music was loud and the beach looked perfect, everyone was dancing making a circle around me like I was the queen of the party, it felt amazing, sang some karaoke played some games and still the weather is still as amazing as the view.

"Caleb your so late, whats wrong with you! Were going to surprise her with the cake now so come now!" Jenna said to the unknown caller to her phone with her hand talking rather than her mouth and closed the phone.

Couple minutes left and then a taxi parked, a guy had brown hair green eyes that looked handsome, why did he look familiar too? Have I seen him before?

"CALEB" screamed Jenna, they hugged and i thought that maybe he's an important person to Jenna because she only hug her favorite. Jenna started pointing at me and talking while Caleb looked at her listening carefully.

Without me noticing, they were in front of me, Jenna and Caleb. Jenna patted Caleb's shoulder and left us alone together.

"Hey I'm Caleb" he said.

He had the most sparkled and beautiful eyes, and he's hair was touching down in he's face a little.

"Lauren" I replied smiling.

The look in he's eyes is just magical, he makes me feel wanted, I adored he's smile, he was simply beautiful.

"Happy birthday by the way!" He said putting he's hand in the air and hugged me.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN!" Everybody shouted.

I saw Jenna bringing a box that was hiding between the pillows and opened it, it looked delicious, It was a cake with white frosting and sparkles in the top typed in an italic style "Happy birthday Lauren!".

The night ended pretty amazing, at the end when everybody gone, was only left Jenna and Caleb, Jenna tolled how they met and they were friends since she came here.

"So its getting late I have to leave" said Caleb.

Caleb left, me and Jenna started packing our stuff and the gifts, "have I seen Caleb before?" I asking Jenna while packing the pillows back into the Trunk.

"Yeah when we took pictures in the Coffee shop he was there, maybe you saw him" she answered.

"Oh yeah I saw him there, he seems nice too".

"Yeah he is".

"Do you like him?" I said laughing.

"NO NO it will be so awkward if we dated" she said and after she laughed.

"Why that?".

"Because it feels like we were friends since kindergarten".

We got in the car and went to our apartment exhausted, and went to a deep sleep from tiredness, without even opening the gifts.

Hi guys, just wanted to say thank you for 400+ views and I hope you like this book I'm writing! And my new style of writing, because the older chapters are 500 words but this chapter is 1000 words and i hope you like the idea for "song of this chapter", and i will change it every chapter for sure.
