Cammies POV

I had found the bomb with 58 seconds left on it. But I didn't want to risk Zachs life.
I could disable it. Zach and I hadnt been through a lot and I could let him die.

"I think it's the yellow one." I said to my slef.
I heard Zach yelling my name.

I pulled out my knife.

Zach was running towards me.

"Cam let's go!" He said running to me.

"I told you to keave!" I yelled at him.

"Not with out you!"

"GO!" I screamed at him. He was trying to pull me away.

I put the knife to the wire.

I cut it.

Zach jumped in top of the bomb in attempt to save me. But nothing happened. He slowly got up. I held the cut wire in my hand.
"I told you to leave you disobeyed direct orders. Don't ever come back for me. EVER!" I looked at him with cold eyes. "I knkw what I am doing. So learn where you belong!" I said and walked out of the building to an angry and releaved Joe.
"Cameron Ann Morgan. You disobeyed direct orders from me." I just looked at him and knew he wasn't mad at be me but scared for me. "That said you made the right call. Good job." I smirked and walked over to my relieved friends.
"Cam!" They hugged me. Bex punched me.
"Do me a favor and try not to get blown up." She said and laughed.
I chuckled. "No promises." They all just rolled their eyes.
Zach walked over to his friends. And they all told him he did the right thing and he was brave for doing what he did.

We were in our rooms later that night. Bex was the only one awake Macy and Liz were sleeping. "So are you gonna tell me what happened with you and Zach."
"I can't get caught up in boys right now." I could hear her roll her eyes in the dark.
"Did he really jump on the bomb?" Bex asked.
"Yes but I had disabled it."
"Cam that was nice of him. You yelled at him for trying to save you. Didn't you?" She asked me. She was right.
"He disobeyed my orders."
"You mean like you disobeyed joes?"
"It's different. And you know it."
"All I am saying is that you should remember that he thought he was gonna die to save you. He didn't know you had cut the wire. Good night Cam." She said and turned off the lights for me to think about what she had said.

Weeks had turned into months very quickly. Zach and I hadnt Said a word to eachother. One day a bunch of girls were all over him in town as usual and then one got so angry she tried to slap him. He blocked it but he wouldn't hit her back. She kept trying to but he just kept blocking it. I was walking around with my friends when I saw it. "Guys go on with out me. " I walked over to Zach. She for the fourth time tried to slap him but I grabbed her arm and punched her in the face.
"He can't punch you cause he's too much a gentleman. But I can. So back off." She felt the blood running from her nose. She's lucky I didn't punch her as hard as I could. She gasped and turned and nd ran and nd way with her friends.
"Ya know Zach you're too nice." I said as we started walking through town.
"Are you gonna order me to be meaner?" He said coldly. That hurt a bit.
"No. I think the way u r is ok."
"Ok? Not even good?"
"Once you can shoot a moving target from 200 feet away away nd not miss 10% of the time then I will call you good." I saw away nd hint of a smile.
"What do you want Cammie?"
"I really don't know." I said.
"Well I have to catch up with my friends." He said then start walking in the opposite direction.
"Ok." I whispered to myself. "Goodbye." He didn't hear me and kept walking.
"Goodbye Cammie." He waved with out looking at me. Mayb he did.

The next day Joe had a mission for me. I had to recover a stolen nuclear missile. I was on my way to Afghanistan.
Once I arrived. It was a short mission. I had gained the controls to the missile and I was on my way home. I got to the airport and of course Joe sent Zach to pick me up.
"Let's go." He said getting in his side of the car. I stood there kinds shocked. He always open ed the door for me. I opened the door.
"If you didnt want to pick me you didn't have to come. I'll find my own ride." I said closing the door.
"Cam..." the door closing cut him off. I grabbed my luggage and started walking. Once I disappeared no one could find me. He got out of the car and tried to take my luggage but it wasn't going to be that easy for him.
"Zach I will b fine. Go home. Or back to blackthorne." I kept walking.
"I'm not leaving with out you."
"Yes you are. Then I did what I did best disappear.

I called a friend of mine who gave me a helicopter ride to Black Thorne. "Thanks Logan!" I said as he took off. Just then Zach pulled in the driveway. I ignored him and walked in.
"I tried to find you." He said taking one of my bags from me. I tried to take it back. "Cam it's ok I got it. And I volunteered to pick you up." He said walking in front of me.
"Why? You clearly hate me." I said to him.
"Because I needed to make sure you got back safe."
"Why?"
"Because believe it or not u have these things called feeling and they for some reason choose you to be fascinated with." I just looked down. "But hey I get it. You are a spy and so am I." We arrived arrived my room. He put my suit case on my bed. "I'm glad you're ok." He said then left.
"Fine." I said. No Cam don't do it!
"Fine what?" Zach asked. Just don't say anything.
"I will go on on a second first date with you."
"I didn't ask you to.
"Yea but you told Grant you were gonna ask me in the car." I said.
"How could you know that. Did grant tell u!"
"No. I'm the Chameleon remember? There's not much it don't know. Like Jonas and his plan to help you get me to like you. Even though it didn't work." He blushed. Awww that was cute.
"I'll pick you up at 7." He said.
"Wait wat should I wear?"
"You look good in everything. Your choice." And with that he was gone..... uh oh. I just agreed to a first date.
