                             Chapter 6

Cammies POV

       Dang it! The sub was filling up fast! How did this even happen? "Cammie let's go!" Zach yelled at me. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me to the doot.

       "No!" I yelled. Idk why... but I had a gut feeling the door wasn't the way out.

       "Cammie!"

        "Zach that's wrong! The door will open and the pressure of the water will flood in and kill us." I didn't know where I was getting my information from but I knew I was right.

        "How do you know!" He said as the water was getting higher and higher.

        "I have no clue." I tried to think. Think Cammie think! "The Missile launcher!" I yelled.

         "What?"

         "The only way out is through the missile launcher. Trust me!" I said as we swam over. "We need to both climb in and swim out through there. That way the water pressure won't kill us!" I said reaching for his hand.

        "Are you sure?"

        "No." But this was our only chance.

        "You get in first." He said like the gentleman he was.

         "No! You go!"

          "Cameron! I'm not getting in until you do!" So I rolled my eyes took a breath and climbed in. I swam out and made my way up to the surface. I looked around. Zach wasn't behind me!

         I swam back down. I looked around. The water was merky, but I couldn't see him anywhere.

        I closed my eyes and focused myself. Still holding my breath I opened my eyes. I looked to my right. I had a gut feeling he was out but something was wrong. I swam to him still not breathing.

        Zach! He was there and alive. But he wasn't swimming up. What was happening? Why isn't he swimming. Then he saw me. He swam towards me then we both swam up. I gasped for air as did he. We climbed onto the dock and laid there on our backs.

         "What the heck is wrong with you!?" I said when I finished coughing. "Don't ever do that to me again!" I yelled.

        "What did I do?"

        "I thought you were dead! Why didn't you swim up?"

         "I did! I went back down for you. Because when I reached the top you weren't there! Why didn't you go to the top!?"

         "I did!" I said laying back down.

         "We must have gone up at different times. The water is really merky." He said softly. I was feeling something. I think I was having emotions. EWWW! I can't do emotions. Or this.

          "I gotta go." I said and ran off the dock.

          "Wait Cam! What's wrong?" Zach ran after me. Dang he was fast.

        "I'm sorry." I said as I ducked into the woods. I climbed a tree and blended in as a chameleon does. He searched for me until Soleman finally called him and asked what he was doing. So he left. I'm sorry Zach. I whispered to myself.
