Gaurdian- Chapter 12 -Why Me?
(Recap Aria's POV. )
He takes another step forward about to reach for me, but my clumsiness took over and I stumbled backwards hitting the vase that was on the coffee table, but I didn’t hear the crash and I didn’t hit the floor.
Instead the vase was still standing on the table and I was gently pressed up to Liam’s chest holding on for dear life.
“What are you?”

Laim's POV.
“Aria I’m gonna need you to calm down for a second,” he takes a step towards me, reaching his hand out
“Don’t you dare come any closer,” I face him from behind the couch, I had retreated to.
“Please Aria just let me explain, don’t be afraid I would never hurt you.” He takes a step closer grimacing as I stepped back. The pain in his face was bearable, but the look in his eyes made my body twitch like I wanted to run up to him and give him a big hug. It’s too bad my head was being stubborn.
“Why wont you answer my question, what the hell are you? How...how did you do that, and why does my hand tingle when I hold yours, why do you always seem to be there when I’m in trouble?” I stare at him in disbelief, I already had those questions spinning in my head, but saying them out loud made me sound like I was crazy. Was I being paranoid or what?
“Just sit down and let me explain, I will answer all of your questions I just need you to trust me,” he says taking one slow step forward. Oddly I did as I was told. I sat down in front of him, keeping a distance though. Despite all the secrets I trusted him. I knew he would never hurt me.
“First of all, I never lied to you Aria… to other people maybe, but to you I couldn’t bring myself to do it. God, this is going to be hard.” He states sitting right in front of me on the carpeted floor, in front of the fireplace. We were just sitting there now, not making a move and not daring to say a word.
“Were are you really from?” I ask.
“I really am from the Canaries, my father is from there, and my mother…is from America though.” He tenses up of the mention of his mother. “One day my mother was on vacation visiting and that’s how she met my dad. At first it was really casual I guess, but then they feel in love. My dad was working on one of his sailboats, about ready to take it out to sea. My mom happened to be at the port that day photographing the lighthouse from and angle. My dad told her the best angels are from out at sea, when the sun is just setting and the sky turns to multiple colors; reflecting on the ocean. After that night I guess it changed for the both of them.”
“That was really sweet Liam; they sound like the perfect couple.”
“They were I guess until one day, it just all changed.” I take a deep breath and let it out with a sigh. I begin to feel really nervous, not sure if I want to hear the next part. “Aria what I’m about to tell you, just don’t interrupt tell I’m done, and please don’t leave. It may freak you out, but please I can’t handle it if you leave.” I nod waiting for him to continue.
“My family line dates back to the 1400’s, being one of the originals.” he pauses as if I was a bomb waiting to tick any moment. I nod again assuring him I’m ok.
“When I say originals I mean…well…how do I put this so you can understand?” Without even thinking I stand up and sit right in front of him removing the gap that was between us. I take his hands in mine, instantly feeling the energy passing through me. The warmth filled my body making tingles run up and down my arms.
