Mark wasn't surprised that Donghyuck was waiting for him outside the beach house. It was kind of creepy that the siren knew where Mark was spending his night, though, the human liked being followed when it came to the siren. He felt like he was so important. Donghyuck tried to find him no matter what.

"Mark!" Donghyuck jumped on his feet and clung to the boy's neck.

The human was surprised by the greeting. However, he was sure he couldn't deny how his heart fluttered.

"Let's go somewhere else," Mark said and slowly removed Donghyuck's arms from his neck.

The boy nodded, his hand slipping in Mark's and intertwining their fingers. The action reminded Mark of how couples do it and he eventually remembered Byeol. A sudden pang of guilt attacked Mark's heart and he harshly dragged Donghyuck away from the beach house.

He was so drowned in the thought to keep Donghyuck away from his beach house that he hadn't noticed that the siren crossed the line. Mark was taking Donghyuck down the dry sand, hiding them both behind a rock that prevented any possible peeping from the beach house.

When Mark looked at Donghyuck, he hadn't noticed it yet. Maybe because Donghyuck looked fine and nothing in his appearance changed. Though as soon as Mark sat down on the sand, he noticed how soft and dry it was. He instinctively looked at the sea, wondering if water ever reached this place. And that was when he realized that something was wrong.

He looked up at Donghyuck, expecting to see the siren's body flaming or becoming dust though nothing like that happened. Donghyuck was still Donghyuck. He was even smiling.

"Why are you—"

"You made up!" Donghyuck clapped his hands.

Mark was confused about how did the boy know. Though it wasn't hard to guess as Mark was back at his beach house.

"You look happy about that," Mark murmured, his eyes locking on Donghyuck.

The boy let out a sigh and also sat down. Mark looked how he looked a bit uncomfortable on the dry sand and couldn't hold himself.

"Since when you can cross the line?"

There was an invisible line between the sea and the sand. Some of the sand belonged to the sea so Donghyuck was able to walk on that. And now that he was on the dry sand, Mark began questioning what was going on.

"Just now," Donghyuck tilted his head. "Thanks to you I'm able to walk like on here."

"Why me?" Mark furrowed his eyebrows.

"Because yesterday—"

"Yes, about yesterday," Mark cut in when the word that triggered him came out of Donghyuck's mouth. "I want to know what the hell happened yesterday."

Mark wasn't shouting but Donghyuck's slumped by the human's tone. Mark didn't know why but he felt guilty to see Donghyuck being uneasy although that was how it should be. Donghyuck must know that yesterday shouldn't have happened.

"You kissed me, Mark."

"And what about that? You asked for it."

"Yes, and I got too excited over it," Donghyuck shrugged.

"So excited that you led me to the cave and decided to sleep with me?"

"Isn't that what people do when they get excited and happy?"

Donghyuck's innocent eyes were driving Mark crazy.

"Don't look at me like that," Mark scolded him. "Do you even know what sex is? Why does it happen? You either have it with the person you love or only for pleasure purposes. But you asked me about love and then wanted me to kiss you all of sudden. We can't do that out of blue! Do you—"
