The fifth and final room stood before us. The lighting was dim, the walls cluttered with shelves full of junk. Straight across from us, surrounded by these shelves, was a decrepit, wooden door. To the left of the door was a large computer screen. A strange image showed on it.

"You have two minutes to choose."

I scanned the area. Where were the buttons?

"What is this bullshit?" Niragi asked, mirroring my thoughts.

Then I saw them. On the wall between the shelving, buttons were scattered to the right of the door. The same buttons we had already pressed, along with two black ones I hadn't seen before.

"Is it these?" he asked, pointing to the black buttons.

"That would be too easy. All of our previous buttons are here." My gaze went to the computer screen. It looked like trails of string leading from the bottom of the screen to the right side like a maze. String...or cords, maybe. They were layered. On top were blue and yellow lines...just like in the first room.

"I think I got it," I said. "We need to clear the board. First we hit the blue and yellow buttons." I pointed to the screen.

"Ah, so ka." Niragi nodded in understanding.

When we hit the buttons, the coordinating lines disappeared from the screen.

Removing those revealed four more lines more clearly. There were two white and two light yellow.

"One of these is from the gun room, the other from the skulls," Niragi surmised. "Which is which? They are so close in color." He studied the screen.

"One minute, thirty seconds remaining."

"The light yellow ones are on top," I said. My anxiety rose as our phones counted down the time left. I was sweating as much as my partner.

"The gun room?"

"Let's do it."

We hit the brightly lit buttons. The lines disappeared.

"That leaves the white for the skulls," Niragi said and those disappeared as well, leaving green lines against a black screen. "These are obviously the tree ones."

We hit those. The green lines disappeared.

We waited.

Nothing happened.

"One minute remaining."

"What the--?" I think if he'd had his gun with him, Niragi would have shot the screen.

I scanned the room. Something caught my eye, a glimmer of a lens, but then I remembered the last two buttons. "Hit the black ones!"

"Thirty seconds remaining."

Together, we hit the buttons. The black computer screen flashed white and the final door disappeared into the floor, leaving splinters of wood behind as it moved.

Beyond was a foyer leading back outside. A lone table sat there with our spoils on it.

Niragi threw his head back and let out a whoop, shouting at the ceiling. He looked back down at me and something passed between us. I had been staring at his throat as he yelled. Then my gaze moved to his lips and his piercings. My anxiety broke, transforming into this raging desire. And suddenly, his lips were on mine, and he kissed me with the desperation of a man starved. A warmth pooled between my thighs. I moaned into his mouth as his tongue slipped inside. Our tongues danced.

I drew back breathless.

"There's an alley nearby," he said. He headed toward the table to grab his card before charging through the exit.

I remembered the gleam of a lens and removed a small digital camera from one of the dusty, cluttered shelves, slipping it into one of the deep pockets on my jacket before following Niragi out the door after acquiring my own winning card.

Outside, he stormed toward a nearby alley. When I caught up to him just inside, he grabbed my wrists and thrust me against the brick wall, trapping me with my hands held above my head. He pressed his body against mine and attacked my mouth like a predator, forcing my lips open and diving in with his tongue.

Holding my wrists with one hand, he used the other to pull my skirt up and my panties down. Our bodies writhed against each other. My nerves sparked with electricity wherever he touched me, lust driving us to collide with each other. He let my hands go, and I kept them above my head, gasping and moaning as primal need took over my senses. I had never felt anything so raw before.

He unzipped his pants and pulled them down enough to expose himself and thrust inside me. My eyes went wide at the beautiful pain. He kissed me to swallow my cries.

The whole act didn't take long. We didn't have much time. We needed to get back to the cars.

Niragi wasn't doing any of this for my benefit. The selfish bastard only looked to satisfy his own need. But that didn't stop me from exploding around him right before he came inside of me.

As I leaned against the wall trying to slow my breathing and calm my heart, he pulled out, zipped himself back up, and left me in the alley.

What the fuck?

I pulled my panties up and my skirt down and followed him, feeling used.

He stayed ahead of me as we ran back to the cars. Most of the players were back from their own games. The cars pulled out one by one and headed back to The Beach.

Once we made it back, he disappeared deep inside the motel, leaving me to wonder what the hell had just happened.
