"Soooo?" Hyuna drawled out, not so subtly dragging her foot through the puddle on the floor. Hyunjin wasn't sure about his thoughts on the woman, but he was definitely uncomfortable.
"It's kinda too early to tell anything right?" Sookyung bit her lip, clearly nervous. If the girl hadn't spoken, he would never have noticed she was in the room. Her presence was practically nonexistent, especially in comparison to her girlfriend. He took in
"Yeah." The group was in consensus, no one willing to look another in the eye.
"I trust Yeji." Lucas offered, stepping forward.
"As do I." Yuqi spoke at the same time as Hyunjin, an odd sort of wisdom laced through her words.
"Why?" Once again, Jackson was offering opposition.
"You don't recognize her?" Hyuna leaned dangerously forward, almost tipping out of her seat.
"Why should I?" For some reason, the man grew paler.
"She's a fucking genius little bird." Dawn had pulled his girlfriend back, speaking up for the first time, words slurring together.
"So genius, any ideas?" Hyunjin looked towards his sister, curious.
"Nope."
"So, your decision?" The cat spoke up again, drawing the group's attention.
"It's too early for us to guess." Yeji responded, peering at the screen.
"Okay then! You have the honor of calling me once per day, otherwise you have to wait to find a body! Your rooms are prepared, split up as you wish~"
Hyunjin turned to Chanhyuk, watching him bury something in his pocket.
"Who wants to move the body? Jackson?" Doyeon volunteered the man, raising an eyebrow.
"Uh-n-no thanks." The man was practically cowering behind BM. Is he feeling guilty?
"Dude, come on." BM had turned to the man, exchanging whispers before giving a defeated sigh. "I'll do it."
Hyunjin chose not to watch as the limp body was moved. Hyuna had bent over, wiping up the blood with her discarded flannel. The woman had surprised him earlier, immediately running over to Yuqi's side when the latter had begun throwing up. He could practically feel the blood drying on his shoes.
"Surely we have towels for this?" The room was filled with silence, reality sinking in.
He turned to his sister, watching as she popped open a bag of chips.
"Just because you don't have the stomach for this doesn't just magically make me not hungry." Half empty bag in her hand, the girl climbed onto the table.
"There's six rooms, how do we want to split up?" Frowning at the lack of response, Yeji began listing people off.
"Chanhyuk, Jae, and San will go to that room," she gestured towards the furthest door, "Hyunjin, Lucas, and Jackson can be next door. Hyuna and yuqi will be with me."
"What about me?" Somi raised her hand, unwilling to be left out.
"How about with Momo? That way Doyeon and Sookyung are together and BM will stay with Dawn."
"I don't want to room with her!" The brunette whined, practically sinking to the floor. The other woman sighed in response.
"You could room with Hyuna instead?" The woman in question wrinkled her brow.
"Why aren't Dawnie and I together?" Hyuna had perched herself on a stool, petting Yuqi's hair as the younger leaned against her. Hyunjin glanced at Lucas to find the man far too distracted talking with Jackson.
"You keep getting him drunk and we'd really appreciate it if everyone was alert." Yeji took notice of the younger by her side, practically asleep. "And I think she'd be a little more comfortable with you."
As everyone moved back to their designated rooms, no additional complaints, Hyunjin sat down next to his sister.
"What's going on with Yuqi and Hyuna?" It was a surprising pair, given that the younger had seemed unwilling to trust anyone moments before.
"I'm not sure." Hyunjin thought back to Lucas' reaction, or lack thereof. It seemed that he was only concerned about the girl at random. He compared them to Yeji and himself.
"They don't act much like siblings, do they?" Glancing over, he found the girl asleep. Carefully, he unbraided her pigtails, knowing that otherwise he'd hear about the pain in the morning, before guiding his sister back to her room.
Opening the door to his own room, he was met with angry voices.
"What did you say about my sister?"
"Sister my ass! It's not like you're related anyways!"
"Yes we are!"
"Only because your mother was a whor-"
Hyunjin slammed the door open, not wanting to eavesdrop any longer.
"I really don't care about how you guys interact, but right now, I need my beauty rest." He sighed, noticing that he was left the empty futon between the two.
