Speaker: the third game with begin shortly, please proceed to make your way to the game hall and follow staffs instructions.
"What could the next game be?" Gi-hun asked, looking at us all.
"What's a game we used to play as kids?" I replied, standing up and walking over to the line.
"Uhm.." sae-byeok followed behind me, along with everyone else.
"Maybe... Catch the thief..?" Sang-woo suggested.
"Or maybe the sense game?" The old man stuttered.
"I don't know, I guess we'll have to find out." I replied, as I followed the line into the game hall.
We walked into this room, and was told to find ten people to be in a team, we already had six.
"Okay, so how about we all go around and find one person to join our team. Since we have an odd number, me and sae-byeok will find someone together, and gi-hun and the old man will find someone together." I suggested.
Everyone agreed, and we went off to find people.
"Hey, can we get my sister? She's alone." I asked, shaking a little.
Sae-byeok looked around, "sure."
We walked over to her, and asked if she wanted to join our team.
She agreed and walked over to our meeting place with us, we sat there and talked, waiting for them to come back.
The second person to come back was gi-hun. He came back with some Christian guy
(NO HATE TO CHRISTIANS!!)
After we all had someone, we entered the game hall.
We walked into this massive stadium type thing, there was two platforms, really high up and there was a rope. The rope had little arm bands on it. Then there was just a massive drop.
Wait.. "tug of war." Sae-byeok said it before I did.
"Oh yes! I love that I game! I played it a few times back... When I was a child!- i- I never lost! No matter who I was against!" The old man replied, happily.
"How have you never lost!?" Gi-hun asked.
"Well, I always had a tactic." The old man explained, "the person at the front... the leader... controlled the team, the team would look at the leaders head... and if the leader looked, weak, or dispirited then the game is over." The old man stuttered.
"then, at the end of the rope... you will need someone... trustworthy, and strong... like the anchor of a ship!" He explained.
"it is also important how you place the others, one person... has to be on the right side of the rope! And the other on the left." He carried on.
"and your feet, have to be facing straight foward. And you have too.... keep your arm around the rope. Then in the first ten seconds, you have to hold your ground and lean back."
Speaker: let the game begin.
We all leant back, and held our ground. Just as the old man had said to do.
The other team started to budge a little. They were kind of good though, they held their ground.
"PULL YOU BASTARDS!" shouted a black haired girl, I don't know her name. And I'm not sure I WANT to know her name.
Ten seconds later the old man shouted, or tried to shout, "PULL!"
We all followed his order. The other team budged some more, but then started pulling more.
Were falling.. we're getting closer to the edge. I screamed.
"OKAY GUYS I HAVE AN IDEA, BUT YOU HAVE TO TRUST ME, OKAY?" Sang-woo shouted.
We all replied, "okay!"
"TAKE 3 STEPS FORWARD ON THREE!" he shouted again.
"WHAT? NO ARE YOU CRAZY? THATS BULLSHIT!" The black haired girl shouted.
"SHUT YOUR MOUTH AND JUST DO IT!" I shouted at her.
"SHUT UP YOU WH0RE!" She shouted back at me.
I kept silent.
"1....2.." Sang-woo paused
"AND THREE!"
We all stepped forward three times. And saw gi-hun almost fall.
We quickly started pulling, and saw the other team fall.
We watched them fall, and then the rope started going,
"we're going to fall. We're going to fall." I repeated in my head.
The rope was cut, and we all fell to the floor.
"We are alive.." I thought.
I clutched sae-byeoks hand, and looked at her.
